Bluebird2
I have been on olanzipine for 25 days at 5mg for anxiety and need to come off it due to it's destructive properties. I had no idea it was so dangerous. Can I have urgent advice on how to come off it. Do I need to taper and if so how? Or can I just stop as I haven't been on it for long? I am speaking to my GP on Monday but need to start sooner rather than later with this process. Many thanks Edited November 2, 2021 by Karma Name update Link to comment
Moderator Emeritus arbor Posted October 10, 2021 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted October 10, 2021 (edited) Hello @Bluebird2 Welcome to SA. To get you started and to give you pertinent information, could you summarize your medication history in a signature – only drugs, doses, dates, and discontinuations & reinstatements in a vertical list format. Still, I wouldn't go cold turkey. As soon as you finish your signature, I can share your question with more experienced moderators. In the meantime, I would hazard a suggestion of starting with a 20% cut, and moving to smaller cuts as you go. Hurry and get this in so I can get you better help.
