Andrey: Seeking Help

Andrey

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, my name is Andrey, I live in Israel and I'm medicated for almost 13 years.

Only last few years I realized that at least half of my problems in life are due to

medications. My current doctor supports withdrawal. I'm looking for help, company

and guidance in these hard times of mine.

Thanks!

Hello Andrey and welcome to SA,

I am really glad that you have found SA before you started trying to get off your medication.

You are also very lucky to have a doctor who supports withdrawal.  However, there are not many doctors who really understand how to get people off their psychiatric drug/s safely and the taper they suggest is usually much faster than SA's recommended taper.

SA recommends tapering by no more than 10% of current dose (not starting dose) and hold for about 4 weeks.

When we reduce our psychiatric drug too quickly we might experience withdrawal symptoms:

We need to know more about the drugs and supplements your are currently taking, as well as previous drugs and supplements.  Please create your drug signature following these instructions:

You might find some helpful information in this topic:

Once we have the details about your drug history and what you are currently taking we will be able to provide information about how to get non standard doses of your drug/s so you can tapering carefully.

This is your own Introduction topic which is the best place to ask questions about your own situation and where you can journal your progress.  This keeps your history in one place and means that you do not have to repeat your story.  Please remember to update your drug signature whenever you make a change.  Thank you.
