I don't know if it was from the covid or just a "poop out". So then the doctor prescribed zoloft, it worked for about a week then stopped, then tried Lexapro, which never worked. So I decided to just stop trying different ad's because I was having such bad reactions. That's when I found SA forum and started my taper to get off of Lexapro. During this time I was having bad reaction/wd from the ad's that they tried me on since August of 21' and it caused me nausea, no appetite, sleeplessness. So then instead of the doctor weaning me off of Lexapro that was causing the symptoms, he added the Mirtazapine for sleep and appetite. I didn't have a clue what was going on and why I was experiencing such horrible symptoms. I thought it was withdrawal, but alto said it is adverse reaction. Just wondering if the Celexa that worked for 22 years would have started working again. I just want them all out of my system. I think Brassmonkey had poop out from Paxil and he still had to taper off. When I fast tapered to 3mg of Prozac and ended up in Withdrawal I tried several meds to get out of it. I would guess that neither me or my doctor knew what we were doing, he eventually decided I needed another opinion, there was nothing more he could do for me. My symptoms since covid was heightened anxiety, crying spell, nausea, no appetite, sleeplessness, tension, dizziness, panic attack. I have had these symptoms non stop since then. My doctor didn't have a clue, he didn't care about the symptoms I was experiencing, he just wanted me to keep trying different pills. A direct switch. So do you think covid caused my antidepressant to stop working and that it would have eventually started working again? It seems like a week or so leading up to the covid I felt very tense and had to remind myself to relax my shoulders and body. And restless legs, hot flashes. Also when I would get a stomach bug or even covid itself...it's life I would have panic attacks and very anxious. I often wondered if I would have just continued taking my Celexa would it eventually have smoothed out and went beck to working again. I'm still finding it difficult to go in our son's room and he left last October. My heart aches for you!!! I can only imagine how much pain you feel living in the house with so many sad memories. I'm very glad you will be able to move in with your mom. Maybe the complete change will help you. I haven't been on here for a while but you've been in my prayers constantly. I can't move in with my mom anymore. Trying to find a place of my own with no luck. I just want out of this house. I wish we all lived close to eachother on this site. We all are going through the same thing and understand eachothers needs, unlike others in out life. I would like to call you sometime if your up to it. I can get your number from ninabird or moonpie. I've got to keep myself busy, being I'm on disability, it's hard to get motivated and keep my mind busy. I am holding another week, but I'm feeling that the fear feeling, anxiety, and sadness is creeping back in on this 9th day after reducing. I'm sure I've asked this before, but does the symptoms seem to creep back in after about the 8th day? Like get worse? I also ate a brownie and some white bread which could contribute to the problem. I had a really nice 4th weekend with my family. Very blessed and grateful for it. I'm going to try holding off until sunday before i decrease again. Will see how this week goes. My mornings seem to be getting better and the worse part of the day is now from noon til 4ish. Some minor cortisol spike in the mornings. I feel that eating some protein filled yogurt before bed may be helping it. What do you think? I feel like I've noticed positive changes since my beginning of tapering in August. Now that we know it's adverse reaction and some wd too. Also I'm dealing with heaps of grief. I'm trying and surrendering it all to God every hour of the day. So after a drop one can expect some clarity during the first few days then around the 4th day it will get bumpy then around the 7th day things will smooth out? Which is how my 7 days went. I'm now on my 9th day and things are getting bumpy again, like heightened anxiety, panic, and crying. Let me mention that I had some good days during the 5th-7th days surprisingly. I am going to try to hold for this week and then decrease on Sunday. I am just starting to feel uncomfortable symptoms again. It's those dang fearful symptoms that get the best of me. I hate them!! My head feels so foggy and throat scratchy. I'm hoping I don't have covid. I will test tonight. My homeopathic doctor is going to prescribe me some Ivermectin if needed. Is it ok for me to take Ivermectin? Also can I take Tylenol? I'm holding another week before tapering.
