Send your family to SA and tell them to start reading through threads. 🤗 It seems my panic attack is brought on my a smell sometimes or like a deja vu moment, or even a thought of my husband, kids, etc. It's like I all the sudden don't want to go there or think about it. I'm sure it's a part of grief as well s wd and adr. I get a heated sensation in my lumbar area of back, then the weird sensation in my head. I am moving into New apartment Sept. 1st, I am just right up the stairs to second floor above my momma, facing the pool and playground. So I'm happy about that being able to watch the kids play and laugh. Went to see the movie "Bullet Train" with mom, sister, and son. Such a sucky movie, don't waste your money. Yes ma'am, I did experience some wonky head feelings today as soon as I started eating dinner, also during a movie. Which brought on panic. It's like my thoughts, senses, and gut reacts to certain things and then causes a panic attack. Is this normal wd symptoms? It's scares me and gives me a doom feeling. I am holding the rest of this week and next week. Is there anyone else on the forum that experiences this too? Bestill Posted August 10, 2022 Share Posted August 10, 2022 I had this about 15 years ago. I was really stressed out from a job and got anxiety. At the time I didn’t really know what it was. I couldn’t step into a restaurant without triggering a panic attack. It would just be the smell that would set me off. Also at home, with certain smells. It wasn’t until I left my job, that things calmed down. I think your body is just so out of whack from stress and it needs to calm down. How wonderful that you will be close to your mom and will have a wonderful view from your apartment. Thinking positive is already a step in the right direction. ❤️ June 9th 2021 Mirtazapine 7.5 mg June 24th Mirtazapine 11.25 mg Oct 25th tapered 16% and had major withdrawals on day 4. Oct 29th went up original dose. Thanks for inquiring. I still currently have a hypersensitive nervous system. I can sleep now without any sleep aids, which I havent taken in months (approximately 4 months). My current symotoms are Tinnitus (worse in left ear than Right), Eustachian Tube Dysfunction, inner body shaking, exercise intolerance, orthostatic hypotension, insomina (but can now sleep, which is an improved compared to last year), GERD (improved) no longer taking anti reflux medication). Mental Rumination, hyperexcitable at times. I've worked the entire time of withdrawal ( a stressful, but enjoyable career too), though very difficult. Celexa 10 mg started (for panic attack) and quickly stopped. From Jan 2001 to September 2001 stopped cold turkey. Celexa 10mg taken for short period of time in 2010; could not take for a long period of time due to side effects, thus only taken for about 2 months. Went through withdrawal symptoms, and protracted symptoms for at least 1.5 years. Restarted Celexa 10 mg in 2013 to 2016 off and on. (never could tolerate anything above 10mg) to due work related stress, and not because of anxiety or depression. Never could consistently take a pill daily for weeks at a time, due to side effects. Restarted in 2019 off and on again for a year, than in October 2020, cold turkey stopped. Did not know about this website, never was told how to stop or to taper since "I was not taking a high dose", suffered insomnia, elevated blood pressure, anxiety, stress, but not any real devastating symptoms. Have not swallowed a micro dust of Citalopram since October 2020, and it's October 2021 now. Started trazodone 25mg in April 5th, 2021 for insomnia, horrible choice, recommended by doctor, couldn't tolerate side effects, tapered, every other day for a month starting on April 24th, than every 2 days for 1 months in May as recommended by doctor, until last 25 mg pill swallowed on June 07,2021. What a mistake! No SSRI's or SSNI's or any psycho medications have been ingested by me since June 07,2021. And life has been hell, especially after the Trazodone was introduced. March 17th, 18th, 2022. I took a cough suppressant that contained Dextromethrophan. Took a total of 20 mg over 2 days, to suppress cough. Caused a major exacerbation of previous symptoms. Have suffered 2 Panic attacks, difficulty sleeping, anxiety which had been well controlled for at least 3 months. And also worsen my Withdrawal induced Tinnitus. Link to comment

Yes, I see a psychotherapist, but I know the most part of my onset of depression and anxiety it from the antidepressant not working and lingering wd/adr effects. The anxiety is very high and tense. Chlo Posted August 30, 2022 Author Share Posted August 30, 2022 Hi y'all, It's been quite a while since I posted. I'm still trying my best to hang in there and stay focused. I've got a move coming up this Saturday. Moving into an apartment above my momma. Just the thought of spending the day in the heat moving my belongings up 2 flights of stairs gives me high anxiety and panic. The next week I will be having a neurotomy procedure. For the most part I have been doing the best I can, doing some grounding, meditation, etc. It seems though that when my Lexapro peaks at about the 4th or 5th hour after taking it is when I have a full blown panic attack. And then again around the 8th hour. As bad as I want to continue my taper due to adverse reaction, I know I should hold until after my move and procedure. The longer I hold causes me more suffering in wd/adr because the Lexapro is is telling my brain/cns that is doesn't like it. It's like a catch 22 and either way it sucks. I look forward to beginning my taper again in about 3 weeks. If all goes well then I will do the brassmonkey 10%. 2.5% each week for 4 weeks, then hold 2 weeks. I am currently at 2.33mg. PREVIOUS medications and discontinuations: Have been on medications since 1996. Valium, Gabapentin, Lamictal, Prilosec and Zantac from 2000 to 2015 with a fast taper by a psychiatrist. Liquid Lexapro Nov, 2016 to 31-March, 2019 Lexapro free!!! (total Lexapro taper was 4 years-started with pill form) ---CURRENT MEDICATIONS:Supplements:Milk Thistle, Metamucil, Magnesium Citrate, Vitamin D3, Levothyroxine 25mcg, Vitamin C, Krill oil. Xanax 1mg 3x day June, 2000 to 19-September, 2020 Went from .150 grams (average weight of 1 Xanax) 3x day to .003 grams 3x day. April 1, 2021 went back on 1mg a day. Started tapering May 19, 2023. July 28, 2023-approximately .87mg. Dr. fast tapered me at the end and realized he messed up. Prescribe it again and I am doing "slower than a turtle" taper. 19-September, 2020 Xanax free!!! Oct 29th went up original dose. My mom is tight down the steps from me. She is on boytom floor and im on 2nd. Its just really hard keeping my mind focused on the good and positive. I try to keep myself busy throughout the day. I have a big window in the living room that lets sun shine in throught the day, and thats what helps me as well. The home i moved out of was so dark. My view is also over the pool and playground so i get to watch children laugh and play. Ive changed the atmosphere in my apartment with bohemian decor. Lots of colors, rag rugs, and plants (well mostly cactus, lol, hopefully I can keep them alive). Going out to eat with my family tonight for granddaughters birthday. I hope your wave weakens and your window is just around the corner. You are such a beautiful soul and I am grateful for your responses to all my posts. I have to make myself get out at least once a day, whether that's taking a walk around the complex, grocery store, or shopping with my momma. My mind tends to go in the wrong direction when i have time on my hands and that's not good because, well I'm sure you know, our thoughts get the best of us. Fear sets in with me and before I know it a panic attack rears it's ugly head. I am so ready to have the pure joy and laughter that I once had with my family and grandkids. I feel like they can sense my unhappiness and suffering. Do all of us that are going through this horrid experience with wd wonder if we will ever have joy and laughter again? Sometimes I worry that my Mom won't live to see the day that I have joy again. She is 78. There goes my mind again..... I'm so ready for cooler weather. A few bouts of sadness and anxiety mid morning and around 2pm, but mostly 2 wonderful days. Thank you God! Enjoyed my granddaughters birthday party, dinner and time with my family. Keeping myself busy is key, nothing too over stimulating. I am destined for great things in the future. I am working to improve and that already makes me a success. I am a child of God and he is protecting me today and tomorrow, and the days to come. It looks like you are doing pretty well overall for everything you have/are going through! 1 PREVIOUS medications and discontinuations: Have been on medications since 1996. Valium, Gabapentin, Lamictal, Prilosec and Zantac from 2000 to 2015 with a fast taper by a psychiatrist. Liquid Lexapro Nov, 2016 to 31-March, 2019 Lexapro free!!! (total Lexapro taper was 4 years-started with pill form) ---CURRENT MEDICATIONS:Supplements:Milk Thistle, Metamucil, Magnesium Citrate, Vitamin D3, Levothyroxine 25mcg, Vitamin C, Krill oil. Xanax 1mg 3x day June, 2000 to 19-September, 2020 Went from .150 grams (average weight of 1 Xanax) 3x day to .003 grams 3x day. April 1, 2021 went back on 1mg a day. Started tapering May 19, 2023. July 28, 2023-approximately .87mg. Dr. fast tapered me at the end and realized he messed up. Prescribe it again and I am doing "slower than a turtle" taper. 19-September, 2020 Xanax free!!! (total Xanax taper was 15-1/2 months-1-June, 2019-19-September, 2020) I am not a medical professional. The suggestions I make are based on personal experience. Link to comment

I just didn't feel able to interact with anyone. I've been thinking of you and praying for you though and I'm so glad your move went well. Your new apartment sounds lovely! Thank you So much for the little sheep picture you posted on my thread!! I love it so much. Chlo the sheep is about as big as her momma now! I wish we were all closer and could meet and console one another in person. I know exactly what you mean about the thoughts and how they bring us down into that pit of despair. Especially when we're alone and have time to dwell on everything. These huge life changes really do a number on us. You are so brave and strong. I'm continuing to pray for you and send big, warm hugs. I have noticed that a lot of members are tapering off of AD first because the benzo helps them while tapering their AD. I would feel so much more relief if I too could have that. But I don't want to add something else to have to taper later. And then I've heard that it doesn't take long to taper a benzo like it does an AD. I know I'm dealing with a lot with all the changes in my life, grief, son moving out, covid...I'm just ranting and whining. Like everyone else I want relief 😌 and joy.
