Dear @StrugglingBad

welcome to Surviving Antidepressants. I am so sorry you are struggling with coming off of sertraline but you have found the right place to find support and help.

I am glad that you are now taking a regular dosage and doing it consistently (also important to keep to it at the same time now that it is at a lower dosage. I would suggest holding at this dose for a few months now to let your nervous system stabilize and then start tapering at the recommended rate of 10% of your previous dosage. These are links to read before you start tapering.

Fear not, you will get better although it will likely take some time. You are not permanently brain damaged, a common question that many of us have asked and as you start getting better over time you will get some more reassurance about this. Hi @StrugglingBad

yes it is a common withdrawal symptom, it is called anhedonia. Like all the other symptoms, it gets better with time.

Hi @StrugglingBad

I have the symptoms of no emotions and body weakness. It feels like I cant move, actually I can't even talk in that state. I lied there for hours. For the first few times my partner was lying next to me so I was able to squeeze her hand to communicate. Very simple: yes, no, I'm scared. It does pass. If you just have general body weakness all the time that is difficult too. Don't push yourself, do what you can. From what I've seen it will either come and go or fade over time. How are you doing currently?

Current: Bupropion 450mg, Neurontin 800mg, Klonopin 0.5mg

History:

July 2020: started Cogentin 1mg, Lamictal 50mg, Zoloft 150mg, Zyprexa 5mg (+5mg as needed), Klonopin 0.5mg

November 2020: stopped all meds cold-turkey

February 2021: started Latuda 60mg, Lithium 300mg, Melatonin 5mg, Protonix 40mg, Topamax 25mg

2 weeks later: stopped Topamax, increased Lithium 900mg, started Klonopin 1mg, Lexapro 20mg, Neurontin 400mg

April 2021: started Bupropion 150mg, Revia ?mg
