@Momoffour

I'm sorry to hear this.

Hopefully you and your dr can figure out what is best for you at this time❤️

PREVIOUS medications and discontinuations: Have been on medications since 1996.

Valium, Gabapentin, Lamictal, Prilosec and Zantac from 2000 to 2015 with a fast taper by a psychiatrist.

Liquid Lexapro Nov, 2016 to 31-March, 2019 Lexapro free!!! (total Lexapro taper was 4 years-started with pill form)

---CURRENT MEDICATIONS:Supplements:Milk Thistle, Metamucil, Magnesium Citrate, Vitamin D3, Levothyroxine 25mcg, Vitamin C, Krill oil.

Xanax 1mg 3x day June, 2000 to 19-September, 2020 Went from .150 grams (average weight of 1 Xanax) 3x day to .003 grams 3x day. April 1, 2021 went back on 1mg a day. Started tapering May 19, 2023. July 28, 2023-approximately .87mg. Dr. fast tapered me at the end and realized he messed up. Prescribe it again and I am doing "slower than a turtle" taper.

19-September, 2020 Xanax free!!! (total Xanax taper was 15-1/2 months-1-June, 2019-19-September, 2020)

The suggestions I make are based on personal experience.

Just an update that I am off everything...

No full windows but better moments/days of partial windows

Been better at just accepting this and praying to heal for my kids as well as everyone else in this mess.

I've been drinking chamomile tea and sleep a lot better than I was and can even sleep in.. I still wake up a few times during the night but i fall right back to sleep and seem to be getting deeper sleep.

All foods still ramp me up on certain days but not every day

and weird vision is still here all day every day just about the only symptom I do not get windows from.

Hope everyone else is doing well 💜

Hi. I am glad you are getting windows.   I reinstated at half my long term original dose which did help but not alleviate the symptoms.  Some significantly.  The lack of positive emotions is driving me nuts and reinstatement didnt help much at all with that but it can take months to restabalize after reinstatement so I'm stuck at this dose for awhile

Recent 2018 Zoloft 150mg  (20 years taking at various times, no real issues before stopping)

2019 Risperdal one month low dose (forget amount) stopped bad reaction

2019 Remeron 7.5 mg sleep  (discontinued in mid 2019) on for six months (tapered for a few weeks)

Zoloft 100 mg Summer 2020/Zoloft 75 mg Summer 2021

Zoloft 50 mg November 2021/ Zoloft 25 mg First two weeks January 2022: Reinstated 50 mgJanuary Last week)

Crash in February - on and off doses as doctors conflicted over serotonin syndrome/withdrawal - stopped all for two week & resumed:\

Other drugs tried in hospitals (Abilify, 1mg, 1 dose, Zyprexa 1 dose 1mg, Klonopin .25 4 doses in 2 hospitalizations)

March 1 titrated Zoloft up from 0 to 65 from February to Early May

Severe vision problems at 65 mg (improved depression)

Taper to 55 6/15, 45mg 7/15/ 35mg 8/1, 25mg 8/15, 10 mg, 8/31 OFF 9/2022 Omg  Improved with drops from August to September - November crash ONE dose Zoloft 3mg 11/17 - worsened symptoms - Remain off Zoloft

Mirtazapine -3.5 mg six weeks mid march to end april, occasionally for sleep

Supplements: Fish oil, magnesium, lions mane, cytokine suppress, MCT Oil

@Roserdl I feel a lot worse now honestly but hopefully a window soon! I hope you stabilize real soon. ❤️ This is the hardest journey ever but you've got this!

I agree the lack of positive emotions makes it harder for me. However, I keep trying to rewire my brain and tell myself the opposite of whatever negative I am thinking. You can message me any time you need someone or just to vent. You're not alone.

@mTy so much.  I am so sorry you are going through this too.  You should recover as your duration was not that long on the drugs.  I am sure of it.   I have been on and off zoloft for years which is why I never thought about going off again.  The only positive I can say is my physical symptoms and even some emotional brain have very much improved faster than a lot of other people long term people report so maybe the other symptoms will come along faster too.  I have only had a few several hour windows of feeling semi like myself but not for a couple weeks but some days have better moments. Other improvements are gradual until the symptom are gone.  Much more like a slow filling in.  I take mct oil and some other things.  Try to take walks everyday and get some sun.  I made the mistake of reading threads here which isn't good because the worst cases are most active. I was hospitalized last month and the long term psych nurses state most people recover in months.  I was thrown out because I wouldn't take more meds.  I think positive talk is helpful and I listen to healing hypnosis in my sleep but then freak out and think it will never get better.  Talking to old school nurses did help calm me as they reassured me they see people all the time crash off meds with cases worse than yours or mine recover. It's so hard to just trust it will be ok.  You can write me too. If I don't answer right away is because I try to stay off internet as I invariably just end up scaring myself worse. If the blunting goes away I will be 90 percent healed.  @momoffour

@ChessieCat that is really hard to answer as I've had soooo many symptoms.

I am really fatigued a lot, brain fog, and still feel a little weird at times. I have small small waves of akathisia still but very bearable. Food/drink sensitivity is gone

I'm not shaky anymore

Insomnia and broken sleep are gone.

No more intrusive thoughts

No weird dreams or nightmares

Derealization I still get from time to time but also bearable.

And all the rest are pretty much gone too.
