Just saw some reports that Covid compromises the blood brain barrier and thought of you. Not sure what that means for anything actionable but there it is. we already knew it impacted the nervous system so not sure if it has more informative value than that. Thought you might find it interesting.

Great news! Long Covid is something you absolutely did not need, but glad to hear that you feel you are over the worst of it. I know you will, but don’t push things too far. No shame in holding off on the diazepam taper until you have your strength back. Covid can be nasty and take a long time to ease up for anyone. You’re in my thoughts today.

@Ariel I don’t think it’s the 7% drop.
I don’t feel anxious except on how to get to loo or make a sandwich!
I took a rescue dose to get sleep but no change.

I was doing so well I have swum 8 days running and may have overdone LC recovery.

Old people like me don’t cope with heat either.

I was thinking about it in more general terms, along the line of cumulative effects of stress on the system.

Whether it's a drug dose reduction or physical exertion or something else, it all adds up and can tip the scales.

I'm sorry it's so tough right now just to get to the loo or make a sandwich.

Glad to hear you had those 8 days, though, and were able to enjoy swimming. Good for you.

Many of us in WD experience heat intolerance, regardless of age.

I've heard about the extreme heat wave in the UK. Has it been very bad where you are?

Must have been nice to swim. Back to cold baths and ice cubes until you're able to return to the pool, eh?

Hoping things cool down and chill out for you soon <3

Yes, I am ok. Just the usual up and down stuff. Working closer to full time and struggling with that, but sleeping a bit better and managing things alright. What happened with the vaccine?

Hope you have some improvement in the next few weeks. Glad to hear from you,

DG

Hi @OldDodgy

I was recently reading a book about brain plasticity and was thinking about the amount of pain you are and whether you can use alternative methods for it. How have you been? Do you get any respite?
