Hello all! I'm popping over from the Lyrica Survivors group on FB, that's taking a bit of a pause. I am happy to report that I'm almost finished getting off 4 meds over the course of about 4 yrs! Lyrica is my last one and I should be done next week after a 14 mth long taper. Before that, it took me about 18 mths to taper off a benzo. And before that, I came off Gabapentin and Flexeril. It's been such a long road with all the ups and downs of withdrawal symptoms. It's been a very emotional journey. I will work on my signature but need to figure out all the dates. Thanks for the inclusion.

I'm now off everything!! I'll simplify this since I've taken so many different things over the years and even switched them back and forth. Some overlapped like Gabapentin and Pregabalin. I'm surprised I'm not dead from it all and it was all prescribed!

Gabapentin 2007 - 2017 (1200mg) Not much taper since it was the first one and I didn't know how.

Cyclobenzaprine 2011 - 2017

Clonazepam 2004 - 2/2/21 (2mg)  10 mth taper

Pregabalin 2010 - 2/14/22 (300mg) 14 mth taper

Propranolol 2004 - March 2022  (20mg)

Hello Quilter, welcome to SA.  I'm glad you came over here to us.  Congratulations on getting off 4 meds!  That is indeed a major accomplishment!  How is your Lyrica taper going?  I'm not familiar with Lyrica, but I thought I would go ahead and welcome you.  Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

Would you mind putting info about your Lyrica taper in your signature?  Use this format:

Drug name: date, dose, date, dose, date, dose…

Thanks, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Getofflex, not sure if I can tag you in a reply. It's been many years since I've been on a board. Thanks for the congrats! It has been a huge accomplishment for me! It takes quite a lot of determination and patience. My Lyrica taper will be over this coming Wed!! I'm so very ready to be done. Lyrica (pregabalin) is a direct cousin to gabapentin (just stronger). I filled out my signature; hope that helps.

You can tag me by typing @ followed by getofflex, and selecting my name from the list that appears below.  However, I'm not familiar with your drugs, so you are probably better off asking MerryJayneFriday who is familiar with gabapentinoid drugs.  I'll be happy to help with other questions though.  Welcome, and yes, getting off these drugs takings huge amounts of patience and determination.
