I just joined.

 

Could someone please explain to me how to find local members so that I can approach them here to see about talking live?

 

I spend seven hours a day, five days a week in front of a computer screen and several more hours per week on a telephone screen. I'd like to speak with someone about issues.

I wasn't looking for phone assistance as much as I was looking for members who live here in Montreal so I could see about getting a peer support group going.

Q:  What was the last dose of paroxetine that you took?  Please add the last dose you took to your drug signature.

 

I think SA members will want to learn more about your drug tapering and post taper experience before communicating with you by phone.  It is better for SA members to get to know each other in their Introduction topics and then start conversing in PM (private messages).  After they have got to know each other better they might decide to phone each other.

 

You did a very fast taper.  SA's recommended taper rate is no more than 10% of the current dose followed by a hold of at least 4 weeks to allow the brain to adapt to not getting as much of the drug.

 

Please provide some information about your experience tapering/post taper of paroxetine.

 

Why taper by 10% of my dosage?

 

You may have experienced, or are currently experiencing withdrawal symptoms which you don't attribute to stopping the drug too quickly.  Please see the following list:

If you are experiencing unbearable withdrawal symptoms you might consider reinstating a very small dose of paroxetine.  Please read Post #1 of this topic.  The idea of reinstating is NOT to get rid of withdrawal symptoms completely but to bring them to a bearable level.  If you decide that you would like to try reinstating, please let us know and we can suggest a dose for you to try.
