Gerpenn
Hello, this is my introduction. I am a long time Effexor user, age 38 male. It never was completely effective and I struggled with side effects, so I ended up cycling off and on periodically for the last 10 or so years. For the last two years, I have been using Pristiq instead, and don't feel I need it, but I have not been able to stay off. Even after tapering to where I am off it with no short term withrdawal, I will get bad symptoms of withdrawal (characteristic headache and dizziness) returning about 6 weeks after. I just restarted 25mg Pristiq and am hoping to successfully get off. I have a lot of questions, including whether I should switch back to Effexor just for the ability to count the time release balls and taper that way. I would like to post in the tapering forum. Thanks you. Link to comment

Instructions: Withdrawal History Signature You say you just reinstated Pristiq at 25 mg, when was that? And how do you feel now? I would not suggest going back on Effexor at this time because Pristiq was the last antidepressant you tapered off of. Tips for tapering off desvenlafaxine (Pristiq) Why taper by 10% of my dosage?
