WhoAmI19: did i encounter withdrawals or relapse ?

Hello, I've been trying to figure out what happened to me after feeling so well. I started Lexapro in 2017 and slowly came out from it in June 2021. I noticed strange feelings of anxiety in November then just went downhill. I did fall off a ladder 6ft to concrete so that's also something I've been blaming myself for feeling like I do blame I might damage my brain from that fall even though I was cleared by the ER from any concussions as I was fully functional and able to walk on my own besides fracturing my right shoulder.  I do want to also point out that after feeling like this I reached out to my psychiatrist and was put on two different antidepressants Zoloft and Paxil. Zoloft I started with 25mg for a week then 50mg for a month also took Xanax 0.25mg to deal with certain side effects from it. Xanax I was told by my doctor to take every night with Zoloft and even when I switched to Paxil which I only took for 7 days. In other words with both Zoloft and Paxil, I didn't last a whole year on them. Paxil was the last one I took on for 6 days couldn't tolerate the side effects. For now, I'm only on Xanax 0.25mg, my fear is becoming addicted to it or dependent, I just want my life back and need some guidance.

Thank You,

😊

Hi, WhoAmI.

Welcome to Surviving Antidepressants.

It's unclear when you were last on Paxil and Zoloft.

Please add a signature.  Include drugs, doses, dates, and discontinuations & reinstatements in the last 12-24 months. Also include supplements. This will help us give you the most accurate advice we can.

  • Any drugs and supplements prior to 24 months ago can just be listed with start and stop years.
  • Please use actual dates or approximate dates (mid-June, Late October) rather than relative time frames (last week, 3 months ago)
  • Spell out months, e.g. "October" or "Oct."; 9/1/2016 can be interpreted as Jan. 9, 2016 or Sept. 1, 2016.
  • Please leave out symptoms and diagnoses.
  • A list is easier to understand than one or multiple paragraphs.
  • This is a direct link to your signature:  Account Settings – Create or Edit a signature.

As you provide more information, including a clear timeline of your drug and supplement history, we can help you set up a game plan for coming off Xanax.

Please continue to use this thread to ask questions and document your taper.
