onetime Posted May 4, 2022 Share Posted May 4, 2022 Hi there, I finally finished my Mirtazipine taper a week ago. Now I have very bad itchy skin and eyes. My eyes have been bad for about two months but the itchy skin started about 4 days ago. Any advice please. Prozac 2000 - 2018 Xanax Quetipine Mirtazipne 2018 Xanax 2mg per day - 10% per month - finished taper June 2020 Quetipine 100mg per day 10% per month - finished taper March 2021 Started to taper Mirtazipine 15mg per day 10% per month -started April 2021 Finished taper of 1.5mg approx( cutting with blade) on April 27th 2022. Warrior Posted May 4, 2022 Share Posted May 4, 2022 Hi! I also had a lot of itching on my body. Especially after showering. My back, chest, face, hand and legs itched a lot. My advice is to try to moisturize your skin with creams after showering and whenever you feel itchy. It helped me, but it's not a cure. Over time, this itchy symptom will pass. I don't have the exact time, but it took about 2-3 months. I honestly thought I got away it!! i.e. I tried coming off Mirt before - much quicker and had the itchiness and insomnia. Great to see you are doing so well. I had a lot of bad symptoms and I'm still having it, I really hope I'm really free of it, but I'm worried about some symptoms that might not go away. If you feel anything else, I think I can help you, I've been through so much coming off Mirtazapine. How long have you used mirtazapine? Experiencing the windows and waves and looking forward to stabilisation and an end to the drug madness!
