You reinstated to a higher dose than what we on this site suggest.  We usually suggest about a 0.5 mg reinstatement for Lexapro.  If your dizziness if not severe, I would suggest waiting a few weeks, and then doing a reduction of your Lexapro.  How bad is your dizziness?  Are you able to function OK in your day to day life? Do you still have the reduced appetite?

How do you feel in the morning, before you take 2.5mg Lexapro? How do you feel afterward?

How did you feel while you were taking Prozac June 2-23?

You might reduce it to 2mg Lexapro. It may be that 2.5mg is too much for you.

I'm confused by your account. If you're getting the same old adverse effects from 2.5mg Lexapro, we suggest you reduce it to reduce the adverse effects. Since you've been taking 2.5mg Lexapro only since July 2, it's unlikely you will get serious withdrawal symptoms from lowering the dose. The longer you wait, the more likely withdrawal symptoms.

If you don't want to lower the dose, you'll have to cope with the adverse effects.

I believe I've explained this before. I'm not going to explain it again. It's your decision.

Whenever you make a change it is always a good idea to keep notes for yourself.  This may help you to see small improvements that you don't notice.  This can happen when you don't feel good, just like when you have the flu.  On day 4 you might feel better than you did on the previous days, but because you still feel awful you don't notice/remember that you don't have a headache any more or that you don't need to take paracetomol for the aches you had.  Of course these are just examples of flu symptoms.

Hi Jack- I wouldn't know the answer to that. I'd try asking on a wider thread.

2012-2019 lexapro

2012-2013 Xanax (whilst starting lexapro and as needed)

2019 3 days of Xanax

2020 2 days of Zoloft

I have a question

Can some admin guide me if you know or some information ?

When can you say that you can drink alcohol normally or take antibiotic without being afraid if them making you worse ?

Is it after the withdrawal ending you will forget about withdrawal or you will have to avoid something in the future ?

Thanks @ChessieCat

There is no way we can predict when a person will be okay to drink alcohol without issue; it is going to depend on how your nervous system recovers as well as other factors in a person's life, eg life stressors, health/sickness etc.  Regarding antibiotics, if you have a proven infection (ie a blood test or other test has confirmed that there is definitely a bacterial infection; viruses cannot be treated with antibiotics) then generally it would be necessary to be treated with an antibiotic otherwise you might end up with a larger issue and therefore need more or stronger antibiotics.  However you do need to be careful what type of antibiotic is taken; see the link in the below quote.

This information is in the link I provided above.

Drinking alcohol is a major factor in excellent recoveries getting derailed.  We just had a case of a member who has been drug free for several years with an excellent recovery underway.  They had a couple of drinks over the weekend and tripped off their symptoms all over again.  Luckily, it cleared in a few days, but that is not always the case. We have also found that doing a course of antibiotics can trigger a wave, as can the addition of non-psychiatric drugs. There is further discussion on this elsewhere in the forum. cipro-levaquin-azithromycin-z-pack-and-other-antibiotics

You might be stable after a year. You'll have to see if you still have withdrawal symptoms then.

My suggestion would be to see a physical therapist / physiotherapist who can assess you and provide you with the correct exercises / stretches.  SA is a site staffed by unpaid peers (related to psychiatric drugs) who are NOT medical professionals so we are not able to assist with this issue.

However, there are some topics in the Symptoms and Self Care forum where members discuss this type of thing.

Did you look at these topics? Magnesium can help muscle aches.

We don't suggest many supplements, but 2 that many of us find helpful are magnesium and omega-3 fish oil. Here are the links for info about those. It is suggested to add one at a time, and start with a low dose to see how it affects you.
