Quittingquentiapin
9. License for Punishment, Revenge, and Assault Even for those who continue to buy into their psychiatric diagnoses, psychiatric treatment can feel like punishment. This is apparent in the series “Living Well with Schizophrenia” in which Lauren, an attractive young woman who self-identifies as having “schizoaffective disorder,” compares her psychiatric hospitalization to what she imagines “jail might be like.” In in her video “What a Psychiatric Hospital is Like,” Lauren reports that after being placed in isolation, “I was stripped naked of all my clothes and I was pinned to the ground by six hospital staff.” She notes how this and other such dehumanizations “fed my opinion of always wanting to get out as early as I could.” Beyond psychiatric “treatment” being so miserable that it can serve as a deterrent, it can also be used for revenge. One of the darker aspects of human nature is the capacity for a perverse pleasure through revenge; this includes getting back at people who have created unpleasant tensions by their altered states or suicidality. Of course, it is taboo to admit this desire for revenge; and it is even more taboo to admit that such revenge can be tinged with perverse pleasure and sadism; and it is shameful to admit that society allows for legalized assault. But if you doubt all this can occur, I’d suggest you watch Lauren telling how “I was stripped naked of all my clothes and I was pinned to the ground by six hospital staff.” is this so. Know the people are punishing me because of this ? i really feel this I don’t remember everything but I tray 2019 3-4 months citalopram (tiered from medication 2019 3-4 month Escitalopram (same as citalopram) 2019-03/2020 Effexor ( CT because I was psychotic on this medication ) 08/2020 Risperdal 4mg 1 week than taper to 2Mg 09/2020 1mg Risperdal + Effexor 37,5 till April CT in Psyward by the doctors April 2021 relapse and get 20 mg Abilify ( i think it was WD not relapse) May 2021 CT Abilify Hospital : try a lot of Medication Medication Sep2021: 150 mg sertralin and 50mg Quentiapin tapered in hospital 3 month 0 mg sertralin and 50 mg quentiapin March 2022 CT Quentiapin Current medication
FeralCatman
To me my time in the hospital always ended up feeling more like punishment than anything else. A good bit of the trauma I have experienced as an adult and still suffer the effects of, in fact most of it, was while I was an inpatient where I went for 'Help'. Their 'Help' actually made me worse because of the way I was treated.
