Presto
Hello all! Just a quick introduction. I was originally prescribed Klonopin approx. 20 yrs ago for panic disorder. Have tried to taper off this benzo 3 times since 2006 including 2 dry-cut attempts and 1 much better water titration taper. But, encountered a setback on my recent water titration and have updosed while deciding what to do next. So glad to have some new people to share experiences and ideas with! I welcome any suggestions on minimizing weight loss due to nausea while tapering because I have a very low body weight. Thanks and I'm so glad to join in the discussions, Presto Link to comment
Moderator Emeritus Jemima Posted September 8, 2012 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted September 8, 2012 Welcome to the forum, Presto. In addition to dealing with antidepressants, we have a number of members who are also tapering off of benzos or planning to do so, and I think you'll find lots of support and good advice here. There's even a special sub-forum for members whose primary concern is getting off benzos, but help yourself to everything that suits you. This forum was a tremendous help to me after a too-fast taper from Lexapro and dealing with the aftermath. After eight and a half months I'm not entirely over withdrawal yet, but I can see the end from here. Tally-ho! Psychotropic drug history: Pristiq 50 mg. (mid-September 2010 through February 2011), Remeron (mid-September 2010 through January 2011), Lexapro 10 mg. (mid-February 2011 through mid-December 2011), Lorazepam (Ativan) 1 mg. as needed mid-September 2010 through early March 2012"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity." -Hanlon's RazorIntroduction: http://survivingantidepressants.org/index.php?/topic/1588-introducing-jemima/ Success Story: http://survivingantidepressants.org/index.php?/topic/6263-success-jemima-survives-lexapro-and-dr-dickhead-too/Please note that I am not a medical professional and my advice is based on personal experience, reading, and anecdotal information posted by other sufferers.
