dini84
Great to have you here Aeroman, and everybody else who is helping those of us on this long, long journey to recovery! Thank you for your dedication and all of your help! Alto, if it weren't for you and this site I would be a bigger mess than I am today. I had believed the garbage my doctor and other incompetent people were telling me. I started to believe I had mysteriously developed bipolar or ocd in a matter of two months but it was just my too fast taper off sertraline causing the horrifying symptoms. I knew in my gut it was withdrawal, but had no way to prove or confirm it. Thanks to SA, I am finally able to start healing. So thank you!!! January 2014: Started 25mg Sertraline. April 2016: Up to 75mg of Sertraline. June 2016: Completely off Sertraline. September 20, 2016: Got hit with WD symptoms. September 22nd: Lexapro 10mg for 3 weeks. Doctor Cold turkeyed me off that. October 2016: Buspirone 30mg - Bad reaction. Tapered off Buspirone while reinstating back on to Sertraline. October 26 2016 - Sertraline was reinstated. Titrated from 12.5mg - 57mg. March 2018 - stabilized on 57mg now.

Administrator Altostrata Posted October 26, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted October 26, 2017 Very pleased to announce that the good Gridley and MollyN have joined us as moderators. Gridley is in the midst of tapering a range of drugs and has had to make the difficult decisions regarding deconstructing a drug cocktail. Since he joined us almost exactly a year ago, he's become quite knowledgeable. MollyN, who has graced our community for more than 3 years, is another well-spoken New Zealander. She had a bit of a bumpy road off Paxil but and is now recovering in all kinds of ways. Please welcome Gridley and MollyN to our moderator team. This is not medical advice. Here is her Introductions topic. Manymoretodays, a former RN, came here almost 2 years ago after nearly 40 years on countless psychiatric drugs. She was tapering Adderall and Trileptal and feeling overwhelmed and isolated. She is now completely off drugs and feeling much stronger. It's great to be a part of the team. Current: 2019: 0.04 mg Paxil!! This is real. Soon, after taking Paxil my entire adult life, I will be free. Long story short: After 18 years on Paxil, "tapered" almost completely off over a month, at doctor's advice in July 2015. Self-care includes magnesium, reasonable exercise, mindfulness, this forum and nutrition/eating enough food. Also on 100 mg Zoloft unfortunately!! (which I now will have the knowledge to taper properly) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Longer version: On Paxil since 1996--anxiety & depression caused by (undiagnosed) under-eating / eating disorder. Doctor kept increasing dose, up to 60 mg; it never really helped but said it really was the best "med" for me. Rapid doctor-led "taper" July 2015, down to 5 mg, with Zoloft as a "cross-taper" = Essentially a cold turkey. Severe withdrawal but didn't know it; believed it was my "underlying condition," and kept tapering, 5mg to 4 to 3 to 2 to 1. Feb 2016: Found SA! As of June 2016, tapering from 1mg at rate of 5-10% per month, Brassmonkey Slide!

I spent years on Paxil before Lexapro (can't remember dose), briefly on Effexor and Abilify and others I have forgotten. in fact, when I was diagnoses with BPII I was put on all kinds of things which made me feel so bad I stopped them cold turkey within maybe 3 or 4 weeks, thank goodness. since then I've known these pills were terrible and I weaned down the Lexapro with zero help or support over I'm not sure how many years. Moderator Emeritus SkyBlue Posted February 3, 2019 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted February 3, 2019 Welcome, WiggleIt. So wonderful to have you. : ) Current: 2019: 0.04 mg Paxil!!
