Omlett with Cymbalta

omlett

Recommended Posts

I definitely look into magnesium..if I remember it didn't do much for me in the past though.

Anyway thanks for the advice Alto.

Yesterday I bought a cold medication..called "night guard" I took half of the dose the pharmacist recommended and within 5 minutes I fell asleep and slept like a baby all nightPosted Image I woke up this morning with no muscle pain whatsoever.

Sleep has been always a big issue for me If I don't get my minimum 6 hours I'm miserable the next day..that's how my body works.

I can totally understand Michael Jackson why he was so desperate to get sleep even taking the dangerous Propofol..insomnia is the worst thing I can imagine.

Thanks again,

Yes, a lot of people use those sleep-inducing antihistamines for withdrawal insomnia. Lowest effective dosage is best, you can get sensitized to it.

Almost 3 months since my last dose of Cymbalta and apart from some downtime I felt really well.

I was really excited awaiting my vacation to Rome..then on the day of my flight at the check in they told me my flight is overbooked and I have to go on a different route which wasn't a problem at all as I took a flight to Amsterdam and then from there to Rome.

The flight to Rome was extremely stressful as we were flying trough storm zones and the turbulence was huge. I resorted to take an anxicalm (diazepam) but it didn't help at all and I was extremely anxious.

By the time I got to Rome I was back to square one..anxiety, breathing problems, insomnia at night. I couldn't enjoy Rome at all as my anxiety was over the roof. I got home a few days ago and getting better day by day.

What really upsets me that I'm still that sensitive to stress..anyways...despite my anxiety I visited every places in Rome as it was planned:)

I'm writing this post on a sad occasion.

I reinstated on Cymbalta 30mg as of yesterday. After my trip to Rome I just got completely out of it..unrelenting anxiety, panic...and I have to work and function etc...

The interesting thing immediately after my first dose my anxiety disappeared completely.

What do you think was it withdrawal???a very bad wave or I just to anxious originally???

Right now I hate myself and hate Cymbalta!!!

That's a sign that you were suffering Cymbalta withdrawal syndrome. Good to hear you're feeling better.

Omlett,

I know the feeling only too well - both being 'back to square one' and feeling really down on yourself.

A very similar thing happened to me, except I wasn't completely off my medication. But I was doing fine and then something stressful happened that sent me into a wave of withdrawal. I went right back up to my original dose and I hated myself for it at the time.

Then after a while I realized that I'm just doing the best I can and that's all there is to it.

I'm so sorry you're feeling down but you HAVE to take care of yourself and if that means taking Cymbalta then that's what you need to do.

I hope you stabilize very soon.

July 2001 prescribed 20mg citalopram for depression;
On and off meds from 2003-2006.
February 2006 back on 20mg citalopram and stayed on it until my last attempt at tapering in September 2011.
By far the worst withdrawal symptoms ever. Reinstated to 20mg citalopram
October 2012 - found this forum!
Nov 2012 to Feb 2013 did 10% taper, got doen to 11mg - was going great until stressful situation. Cortisol levels hit the roof, hideous insomnia forced me to updose to 20mg.
March 2016 - close to 100% back to normal!

Hi thanks for the replies, it really means a lot to me.

I still thinking about what did screw up with my nervous system. Ok probably WD and then the damned flight with a turbulence.

I feel i'm back to square one I even have agoraphobia..I have to go to work though..no matter what.

I just can't believe i felt so well..and one day to another I'm almost disabled:(

Thank you again Alto and Basildev to stop by.

I know the feeling Omlett.

But you will stabilize. It may take some time but it will happen.

STABILIZING or not STABILIZING this is the question...5th days on 60mg Cymbalta and some good signs  appeared but still feel crappy.

I was very down panic all day..brainzaps, dizzy..inner vibrations, twitches, anxiety, depression, crying spells.

The whole thing started on the bloody flight to Rome then I couldn't sleep at night and I got my first panic attack in the metro..deep down.

I'm so angry !!!!!

I hope I stabilize soon...

Hi Everyone,

Update: I had to reinstate on Cymbalta on 30 mg at the beginning of June.then as I still felt very bad after two weeks I upped to 60mg.

Well, it didn't make any change and i felt more crappy than before..my vision became very blurred and I felt dizzy all the time which was feeding my panic attacks.

I starter to take Krill oil two weeks into 60mg and suddenly I mean after 1 hour my first dose my mood has changed to the better and my panic attacks has been subsided.

At first I thought it must be the placebo effect but after two weeks I still felt amazing that  I dropped my Cymbalta dose back to 30 mg  and I didn't feel any WD symptoms so far till this day.

Fingers cross it will continue like this and I can continue to taper off of this bloody Cymbalta.

I wish everyone the best.

Cheers,

- O

The omega-3s in krill oil are essential to good neurological functioning.
