Is the morning anxiety worse now than when you went OFF Pristiq and before you took Effexor?

YES!

I re read my post from stopping pristiq and adding effexor on the beginning of my tapper.now the anxiety is all day

It has been one of the worst days I've had for a long time

Tried to nap and mind spinning couldn't sleep. Noticed when I re read and On Pristiq it was extreme fatigue not this hyper anxiety. The 2.5 Valium didn't help at all today. Hope you can help Alto.

I'm just as total mess.

Can I change the long new pass word to another. Hope your around today. I'm just not sure the effexor is good for me but I'll keeping to the schedule.the Valium HAS NEVER MADE ME HYPER. could the effexor/Valium be interacting? Thought you and I checked that:-)

You can change your password yourself in your settings.

I don't know what to suggest. It's up to you if you want to drop the Effexor. I'd do it in stages, maybe 2mg every 4 days, keep track of your symptoms.

Thanks

Hard to believe that just 6 mgs can be doing it. It's so tiny to cut now :-)

I got my password changed.thanks.

I will try cutting to 4 tomorrow and keep track of it for 4 days as you said. Forgot I was itching last 2 nites.

So appreciate you time.I never thought the effexor was agreeing with me. At least with priestiq I was just sleepy :-)

So no problem with efffexor and Valium. ?

Gardner, you should really be asking your doctor these questions. You're still taking a lot of drugs and any of them might be conflicting with each other.

I did and he and pharmasist said OK.

I know you have a lot more experiences than they do:-)

Just wondered your opinion.

I have deleted all the ones you pointed out to me with Dr permission after the fact.

Thinking of tapering off Wellbutrin SR 150 am & pm.for 3 years and 100 SR am & pm 3 years before that.

I've been reading on this forum and wondered if I can just cut the am dose in half & take note dose in pm as usual?

thanks in advance

Hi Gardner,

Well it's been a long time since you posted here.

So that we can see your drug history at a glance please follow the instructions below.  Thank you.

A request: Would you summarize your history in a signature - ALL drugs, doses, dates, and discontinuations & reinstatements, in the last 12-24 months particularly?

  • Please leave out symptoms and diagnoses.
  • A list is easier to understand than one or multiple paragraphs.
  • Any drugs prior to 24 months ago can just be listed with start and stop years.
  • Please use actual dates or approximate dates (mid-June, Late October) rather than relative time frames (last week, 3 months ago)
  • Spell out months, e.g. "October" or "Oct."; 9/1/2016 can be interpreted as Jan. 9, 2016 or Sept. 1, 2016.

SA's recommendation is to taper by 10% of the previous dose followed by a hold of about 4 weeks.  This allows for the brain to adapt to not getting as much of the drug.  It may be better to reduce the morning and the evening dose each by 5% which would be a total of 10% dose reduction.

Why taper by 10% of my dosage?
