dunerbug: My fluoxetine nightmare

My TSH was in the upper part of normal.

My T3 and T4 were low-mid range of normal.

The last thyroid tests were about a year ago so I'm going to have checked again.

Utah- Once treated, how did you feel?

Be sure you get *Free* T3 and T4 not "total". If you need help translating the results, you can always post the results on www.dailystrength.org on the hypothyroid board. They are very nice and helpful.

I do have some more energy, but my lab values are still too low so I do still have many of the symptoms. I only started treatment a few months ago, and it takes over a year to reach optimal levels. Hopefully in a few mor months I will be feeling better.

I am on 2.0 mg abilify for 2 yrs now.  I tired to taper every month 2.0....1.5....1.0....0.5....off.  I was fine until I jumped off at the end.  I will need to slow the taper down after 0.5.  Maybe try 0.5, 0.4, 0.3, 0.2, 0.1, 0.05, 0.025...off.

8/2/17. Abilify  2.0 mg

By the way, my TSH was a 1.5 when I started thyroid meds. My FT3 was a at the bottom of normal, but still in range and my FT4 was about in the middle. They both need to be near the top!

Hello all!!

I haven't updated in a while.

I want to give you all a quick update.

I've had a lot of things going on. (family stuff)

My physical health has been on an upswing. Things like energy and motivation have improved. Overall pain levels have gotten a bit better. Noticing, I'm not as stiff.

We took a 3 week vacation to visit fam and since I've been home, I've been in a bad wave. So I'm in a tough spot again and symptomatic. I'm going to ride it out patiently and try to treat myself kindly. I'm sitting here in my jammies and it's almost 5:30 pm. I'm pretty smelly too.... But I'm tired and I just want to sit. :) so sit, I will!

Things that are not improving the way I want are: Anxiety and ocd symptoms.

I am over 2 years post withdrawal and can say that I find myself more optimistic about healing.

I wish it was the ocd to get better first.....but I see that it will probably be one of last to get back under control. My Achilles heel so to speak.

Would love hear from you guys!

Peace!

I let it go.

Medically, I've exhausted things and have decided to let myself be.....for now, anyway.

When I go in for a physical, I'll have everything checked again.

@dunerbug I wonder where and how you are now? I like to think that when people don’t return it’s because they've healed..

I too wonder how you are doing now? I guess most people who don't come back on here are healed. I've come off prozac around 2/3 months ago and the last few days I've developed really cold feet! To the point I cant focus on anything else (I'm a worrier), I have bad health anxiety so the worst comes to mind.

I doubt it's a thyroid issue as I don't have any other symptoms and I don't think it's bad circulation because I can warm them up and I don't have the additional symptoms listed on sites I've been on.
