You will just need to let your system heal over time. Don't try to push it.

Hello forexworld12!

One of the most important things in this process is trying to control your fears about the symptoms, accept them, knowing that they will eventually pass.

Let me tell you that from the list of symptoms that you mentioned, I have seen BIG improvement in most of them, and others have just gone away.

You were on meds for a short time;you are young, you WILL get better;you just have to give it time.

Take care of yourself, be patient,I know is hard for you beeing so young, but it is the only way.

I was on a powerful AD for 4+ years, and after a terrifying process, I am doing much better. And I can be your grandfather....!!!!

So keep on walking, have faith, and you will be fine.

From tropical Costa Rica to tropical India, NAMASTE. :)

Thanks A lot. Namaste to you too Alex(Although Indians don't use that anymore more like (Hey/Hi how are you?) Really appreciate the positive vibes !!

I don't know if I have depression or ahnedonia alone. will someone let me know by the symtom. -

Allt these after taking one pill of paxil on january 24th 2014 developed due to adverse reaction. - I have lack of interest, Lack of motivation. I don't feel pleasure In anything now.But somehow I find talking, watching intense movies and scenes and songs somewhat a little interesting very small. I am able to laugh and have a good communication with friends but I don't feel that happiness from Inside. No matter what I do I do find some things little interesting just minimum  but I have this type of sadness This want, urge to cry from Inside but I am unable to cry.its like locking all emotions. There is some kind of sadness in my heart a very weird one. its hopeless and empty. That wants me to cry and I try to but I can't.. I also have this low mood and irritation inside my heart and i get irritated by small things. I can't feel happy or any other emotions. Its like blocked . With this I have some appetite change some difficulty remembering things.

I was just watching a sad movie just few moments ago the ending was sad and I felt a type of sadness in my heart that was filled with irritaitation an anger type irritation inside my heart but I wasn't able to cry or express feeling since watching the ending I have become more depressed and raging irritation inside my heart.. will someone tell me whats going on ?

That sounds like the emotional anesthesia many of us experience. It eventually goes away.

Wow WTF guys  as soon as I though I was seeing a window fu** that shi* A full relapse of the burning heat and itching skin burning sensation , light sensitvity and serious dizziness.Whole body and head seemed to be having electric buzz and my eyes started blinking by force which triggered huge panic attack . I did realize I was going to die so I started asking god to forgive my sins..
What the heck, I'm sick of this.
Is it due to shisha(Nicotene) I inhaled yeterday night or maybe beaf and eggs aren't good for my body at the moment !

That sounds like a wave of bad symptoms. We have waves and windows on our way to healing.

Yes, you might have triggered it by adding a psychoactive substance, such as nicotine, to your system.

Hi A friend of mine is an NERI ..like me he, Suffered from PSSD,depression ahnedonia after ssri use and he cured himself. since he's a specialist he Created this forum to cure people esp focused on treatments.. it's new -

 http://area-1255.forumotion.info/f4-post-ssri-sexual-dysfunction-pssd-researchtheories-conclusions

(NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT OR SOMETHING JUST ALL INFORMATION ON PSSD AND ITS TREATMENTS TO CURE PEOPLE )

My update -

Still suffering from PSSD and ahnedonia, depression but took the first step and got hormone check done

SHBG -     7.2  nmol/l                                        Normal levels -   15 - 48.4 nmol/l

Morning Cortisol -    7.54 ug/dl                          Normal levels -     6.2 - 19.4  ug/dl

Estrodiol (E2) /Oestrogen -    31.20 pg/ml         Normal level -  (Adult male -  0 - 32 pg/ml)

free testosterone  -   5.18 pg/ml                         Normal level -  4.30 - 32 pg/ml

Prolactin -        18.88  ng/ml                                Normal level -  2.1 - 17 ng/ml

Evening Cortisol -   8.50 ug/dl                             Normal range ---- 2.3 - 11 ug/dl

So as you can see according to my age which is 20 My estrogen is too high , my prolactin is High as well , my SHBG is too low and my free testosterone is very Low too . So basically most important things are fucked up and this is coming from the desentiszation of serotonin and dopamine receptor and previous ssri's and anti-psychotic use ... this is only 33% part of why I have persistent PSSD - low libido , numb penis - the other 2 requires fixing of serotonin and dopamine

Hi and glad to see you back. Here is a link to your original topic:

http://survivingantidepressants.org/index.php?/topic/5685-forexworld12-somebody-please-help-paxil-adverse-effect/

You may want to bookmark it for future reference. A mod will probably move this post there so your story is all in one place.

(You want to watch out using explicit language like the f-word. I notice that it slipped through the site filter. A lot of people react badly to such language in wd.)

Your other post in 'In the Media' might fit better in the PSSD topic in 'Symptoms and Self Care'.

I had read some of your postings in that new forum, I had followed another poster there to see how they were doing. Seems uniquely specific to your particular problem.

What happened and how I arrived here: http://survivingantidepressants.org/index.php?/topic/4243-cymbaltawithdrawal5600-introduction/#entry50878

July 2016 I have decided to leave my story here at SA unfinished. I have left my contact information in my profile for anyone who wishes to talk to me. I have a posting history spanning nearly 4 years and 3000+ posts all over the site.

Thank you to all who participated in my recovery. I'll miss talking to you but know that I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines, suffering and rejoicing with you in spirit, as you go on in your journey.

Most physical symptoms have went away - Some fatigue is there ..There are only three mental symptoms remaining - Anxiety, Ahnedonia and PSSD(POST SSRI SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION) ,- Which are on its own worse than death and.............. I exactly know what is causing it(Dopamine downregulation + serotonin desentisization) .. I will try the natural approach first to treat them !

PLUS -   What I discovered on my recent re-search and study was the adverse effect were not from paxil -it may have played a part in tripping my system the wrong way !   The 3 times I masturbated by force(out of frustration) despite of suffering from PSSD actually OVERSTIMULATED MY DOPAMINE RECEPTORS WHICH LED TO DOWNREGULATION = AHNEDONIA !

i should have never done this as I would now need to treat both the dopamine down-regulation + 5HT - 1A,2A,1B and 2C desentisization !

I don't believe it's a matter of dopamine downregulation + serotonin desensitization or any combination of neuroreceptors that you can solve by adding in a little of this and a little of that.

These drugs have wide-ranging effects.

Please be careful in whatever you try, and experiment with only a little bit of one thing at a time.
