Hi miracle123, love your name!

thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your experience! Your kind support and care means a lot to me especially on a very painful day.

i can't believe you have those crazy symptoms too only alter a short time use of the poison! Those symptoms are so crazy and the most uncomfortable sensations. Are they subsided now? How long did it take for those to go away?

Even we stopped the drug at the same time, you were on these poisons only for a short time, I believe you will see windows very soon and recover fully much sooner!

You treat yourself kindly,

lex

thank you Roseta my friend for your kind care!

I am in the worst horror now with extreme reaction sxs since the MSG accident.

most severe burned/blurred brain/head/vision

electrified allover very painful (like fireworks)

head feel like injected with huge amount of anethesia

super stiffness entire head and back

swollen hands/feet/head

I had similar sxs before (but not as bad) from Lexapro updose but they got lots better since I stopped Lexapro 8 months ago.

I cant believe what MSG can do to a super sensitized system by Lexapro, it seems everything can mess up me now like Lexapro did.

I am in deep prayer for the hit to subside quickly.

Hi Lex, I’m so sorry the msg caused such a major reaction,

Time will settle it. That’s all we can keep saying TIME, TIME, TIME.

Im sorry about the electrified feeling. Once when I tapered too quick I felt like I had put my finger in a light socket. I ended up going back to my last dose n it settled after a week or so.

We are all so different though and what works for one person may not work for another.

Sending hugs🤗

Dear Carmie, thank you so much for your continuous Care and support!

You are so right! Time is the only thing helps, giving that we don't abuse our brain by other stimuli no- stop like I did :(

the msg sxs are just as terrifying and intolerable as WD, but thankfully msg is still different form Ssri poison! I feel the msg own sxs are mostly subsided now almost 2 weeks since the attack, only its harm to the original healing that is difficult to measure.

regardless, thank God not all substances work like SSRI never ending!

i hope you are having a fine day!

Lex,

I am here as promised.  Did you have issues with fake Lexapro (escitalopram vs Lexapro)?  I found that the 2 brands of escitalopram made me very sick.  It was the coating of lactose on the generics that made me temporarily sick.  Once I switched to "real" Lex, I was okay, and as long as I do not have too much milk in my diet right now, I am fine.  I never had an issue with milk before that, and now that I am 18 months+ out from the fake stuff, I am okay with milk again.

Feel better soon!!

Oh, so kind of you dear skeeter for stopping by my thread!

i think you meant by fake the generic escitolopram, which I used for a while back in 2012-2013 about 1.5 yrs. I had lots jaw and head pain from taking it both tablet and liquid form. Rest time I was always on brand name lexapro either tablet or liquid form. I don't really know anymore after all these years going through so much if lexapro or WD of it created more problem. I'm obviously kindled from a few time Lexapro uprose as my WD was not that intolerable and horrifying.things just spreader all over places ever since then.

wow, even milk can cause problem!! This whole thing is just too crazy. I'm glad the sensitivity went away and you are making a peace with lexapro!

i will stop by and read your story soon.

hugs,

lex

Hi hopefull,

Thank you for stopping by!

I'm unfortunately rolling downhill at high speed since 2 months ago with the back injury which took me to a back mri that I reacted severely (passed out), followed by a real bad reaction to msg then another terrifying reaction to aspartame from a fiber drink last night.

All the above finally put me at the very bottom of this hell after 5 years continuous struggling.

I feel horribly sorry for all the very discouraging update.

I hope you and everyone else are doing better.

Hi Lex,

Yes, I know what you mean. When we trouble with things like you did with the MSG and get reactions, at least we know the symptoms don’t last that long compared with these evil meds we are on. I’m glad the symptoms almost subsided after two weeks. We can see an end not so far away.

As regards meds we taper forever. I’ve been tapering for years and have many, many years to go. It wouldn’t surprise me if it took me ten years as every tiny drop takes forever to get over.

All we can really do is take a day at a time and try and try to somehow have a life anyway around it.

Take care, Sending hugs

Thanks Lex for these warnings!  I discovered myself about Chinese food.  It resulted in a nightmare that night and next day a headache and anxiety ramped up to feeling like “fear”.

I got suspicious when we had Kentucky Fried Chicken and I had another nightmare and remembered the previous one.   Next day I had a very, very sore head again (painful to touch my scalp), anxiety ramped up, palpitations up high, and the inner vibrations were strong and hard.  I looked it up and found it has MSG in it!

This link tells you some other things with it in:

Hi grandmaD,

your hugs warms my heart and soul! They are so needed as I'm slipping into a deeper hole since the reaction to aspartame.

Many big tight hugs back to you!

im glad you were aware of the danger of MGS!

one other thing to check out is the aspartame containing products. My recent reaction to it and now WD of it caused huge physical and psychological sxs more intense than lexapro ( or it's because the combination of the two).

Hi Lex,. Hope you're feeling a bit better today. I've seen some cushions on amazon (for sciatica, and piriformis syndrome). I'm wondering about trying one at some point. Maybe it would be possible to sit comfortably on one.

Hi sunnylou,

Thank you for your kindest thoughts! I was thinking of you too dealing with the very inconvenient situation.

Somehow I feel the pain is less if I sit on a more solid chair than a soft one. Maybe a cushion on top of a solid seat can make it even better? Do you find the softer ones work better?

My sciatic pain got less the past few days

But I  just hurt my lower back again yesterday picking up a small package. This time the pain is like the old type more on the lambar than sciatic area.

I hope you are having a better day overall!

Hugs,

Lex

My heart goes out to you as I know how painful sciatic is.  I find sitting is the worst.  I can still only sit for 1 hour at the most.  A firm cushion that has a bit of give in it can help or  a soft cushion on top of a firm one.  I found they want to sell you memory foam but it just sinks down to the bottom and is hard as a rock.  Foam rubber is good as it has some support plus the give in it.

Oh dear!  I know this stinking story only too well, to be just start to mend and you bend over and it goes on you again, it is so frustrating!  Bed rest for as long as you can is the best thing and then short bursts on chair.  I started with 5 mins and upped it by 5 mins each week.  It's taken me years to get to 1 hour!  I hope you mend much faster!

More prayers coming still going your way, love and BIG HUG!!  x

Hi lex, and hi to grandmaD!

So sorry to find another sufferer of this being unable to sit situation. It just adds to the struggle so much more.  I think i find it easier on a hard chair. I sometimes try sitting on a soft chair, think its feeling ok, then regret it afterwards. But the truth is now I'm back to this after a couple of years break from it, I'm still fumbling around thinking exactly the same things. Right now though I'm just not sitting on anything. It gets me walking round in circles afterwards, and that's because I can then not stay standing on the same spot.  I'm glad about the advice not to get memory foam cushion but a foam rubber one is better.  Imagine paying out for one, and its no good.

Hey there,

Long time, no see.  I feel like I got up to date on your thread, and wanted to stop in and send some love.

Wow.  What a journey you have been on!  I so wish it was over now that you have fully tapered off the drug.  Sad to hear your nervous system is so sensitive, I know it all feels so demoralizing, like you can't live like a normal human being anymore.  I really hope all this passes for you soon.

Hope you have some periods of peace soon.

GrandmaD, I'm so sorry to hear you have the sciatic pain too! My god, how much more a person can handle!

do you know the cause of your sciatic pain? Is it WD related?

Mine is caused by the injury by the damn therapist and further complicated by WD. Alcupuncture and massage helps me.

this really sucks as it took away my only way of handling WD --going to gym, and caused and is still causing constant anxiety and depression.

i hope at least this suffering won't last long for all of us.

sending my love and hugs to you!

Lex, how are your symptoms more directly related to withdrawal?

Physical therapy can be very helpful for sciatica, which is from some alignment instability leaning on a nerve.

Hi Auto,

nice to to hear you! It's been a while. I hope you are doing well yourself!

its confusing sometimes, but I now think it's more from the injury than WD.

Thanks for the info and recommendation! As the injury was done by a physical therapist, I'm very traumatized to go back to any of them even the one hurt me is really odd incidence.  I have been getting help from my alcupuncture doctor who does massage, correction and alcupuncture. Do you think physical therapy is in particular helpful as compared to alcupuncture doctors do?

My my recovery is very slow now being 10 weeks since the injury, I can still only walk on complete flat surface, no bending, no more than 3 pounds weight lifting and the most difficult thing is no sitting position as it cause lots pain at the sciatic, thigh, buttock and legs.

Im quite desparate about the back injury and situation, more than I feel about WD.  I have a very hard time accepting the accident form the way it happened ( complete malpractice ).

I understand how debilitating it is, and for such a long time, I have been through this myself and it becomes very demoralising, plus as you say the way it happened makes you angry and all this can lead to depression.  Bedrest or on the couch is best.  It will heal in time, but remember brokenbones take at least 6 weeks to mend and I believe our bodies are in a very weakened state and therefore take longer.  You might want to try heat and/or ice on the area also.  Heat is always good and if you can actually lie in a warm bath that might help, though I know that can be impossible when it's real bad.  It is so distressing to have one thing after another happen, and so watch out for the depression aspect as a result!  Have you got some funny dvd's you can watch!  Much love and more hugs and prayers for you dear one x

Hi Lex.  I'm thinking of you.  It can't think of anything uplifting to say that won't sound trite, but please remember that even in the worst of times turning the corner could suddenly happen.  As things get worse and worse we assume that is the direction we will keep going.  In WD that's clearly not very likely based on what we see in those who have partially or fully recovered.  I hope you can remember that -- at any moment you are going to reverse direction and start feeling better.

All my love, R

Dear Rosetta,

You must be God sent!

As at this moment I'm in the middle of planning to take the option I never thought I would.

Things have been slipping quickly to where beyond my limit giving all my strength.

You may have just saved my life.

I wish you and everyone who supported me tirelessly all these years best in all aspects in the years upcoming, regaining the life that was stolen by these most evil poisons.

Love you all forever, my dear friends!

Lex,

I understand.  I get it.  I have days/thoughts...serious thoughts like this...on a regular basis.  I just try to get through that day/hour/minute/second.  Two days ago I was planning my funeral.  Today I feel almost a little bit happy about a few things.  Believe me, I still have all my symptoms, but for some reason, today it feels more worth it.

I hate placations.  I hate it that people say "you know there are a lot of people who have it worse off than you."  That might be true, but in the moment, it doesn't matter.  You are suffering.  You feel helpless and hopeless.  You just want it to be over.

I go through this on a regular basis.  It sucks, I know, but I ALWAYS come out of it.  I might still feel that my family and I would all be better off if I were not here, but I am not in a hurry for it to happen today.

Lex, you WILL get better.  I KNOW you will.  You WILL be able to feel like living again.  For the most part, my quality of life is about as bad as it gets but today I felt okay about being alive.  If you asked my husband two days ago, he probably would have told you that I would not be here right now (as he knows he cannot stop me).  Here I am.  I had a good day.  A good day is coming for you too.  Hopefully tomorrow will be good enough that you are glad you are alive to be here.

SO MANY people here care about you.  It's incredible how many messages you get.  You have a lot to give yourself.  Perhaps that is why you have to get through this...the world needs you...we all here need you.  You are an inspiration to many.

Tomorrow will be better.

Grace
