Saw Pdoc today. 1st time since Dec 14.

I told him that I was taking 14.5 of the Pamelor and he asked how I was doing that since it comes in 10mg capsules.

I said that I was breaking the capsules and measuring out the amount.

He said that I could not get an accurate dosage that way.

I told him I could. I was dissolving it with water  and putting it in a syringe.

It was funny because I don't think he'd heard of anyone doing that before.

Hi Chicken,

I'm on Mirtazapine and Valium too.

Just saw your post so jumped in.  S**t, hey?  I'm getting there though, and sooo much better for me, as I learned how better to stabilise myself, and cut real slow.

Pleased to meet you, (Mick Jagger said that

Update

Finally down to 10.5 mg. Went to the dentist today. AD has cause bad dry mouth  and now I have five cavities that need filling. $1000+

Thanks a lot stupid AD.

My dentist is holistic and mercury free. He gave some iodine to put on my teeth at night until I get off the AD. This will keep bacteria down until I get my saliva back.

Hiya chicken  ,  good to meet you  :).

I've just realized that you've been decreasing the pamelor rather quickly since January  e.g. 13mg to 10.5mg on 17 March , is almost a 25% cut , right?

Am I missing something?

Best wishes ,  Fresh

Update:

Thanks for everyone who checked on me. I really appreciate it. I haven't been active on the board for a while but I do stop in and read some. I've been very occupied with a new hobby and it keeps me distracted from thinking about drugs. Sometimes when I think about it I believe I create fear in myself so it is best to stay occupied.

Anyway, about a month a go they put my 91 year old grandmother on remeron in the nursing home. I almost had a fit when I found out about it. I demanded that my mom make them take her off of it. She had only been taking it about two weeks and wasn't thinking right. They took her off of it and she is doing fine now. She has been on a benzo for years but we have no plans to take her off of the benzo at her age. After what i went through with Remeron there was no way I was going to let it happen to her.

I went to my doc today and I told him that I had tapered the Nortrip to below 10 mg. He asked me how I was doing that and I told him that I dissolved it in water and was measuring it out with a syringe. I told him about tapering by 10%.  He said that if I was going to do that that it would be better if he just prescribed the liquid. It's hard to believe that a doc just volunteered to give me the liquid. He believed it would be more accurate than how I'm doing it now. He didn't agree that I should go off the med but did agree to give me the liquid if I wanted to go to a lower dose.

I told him that when I hit 5 mg I would probably hold for a few months. At least until August. I think he's given up on trying to tell me anything and he is just letting me do my own thing.

He told me that he just wants me well, on a drug or not. I do believe that he really cares.

I'm still praying for people here.

Started on lemon and pineapple juice for menstrual issues. Changed my life! I have energy like ive never had before. I didn't have this kind of energy when I was 20. Been cleaning the house up. Friends and family have noticed the change. Wish i knew this years ago.

Hi Chicken,

Nice to hear from you. I have been wondering how you have been. The pineapple and the lemon juice, how does it help?

Hopefull,

It is helping tremendously. I has improved my mood and given me a lot of energy. I don't feel run down anymore.

I told a co-worker and my mom that it has changed my life.

Here is my post in another thread http://survivingantidepressants.org/index.php?/topic/9242-changing-my-ph-level-this-has-worked-wonders-for-me/

-----------------------------------------

I posted a post a few weeks ago about trying Pineapple juice mixed with Lemon juice to stop abnomal menstrual bleeding that I had been haveing for months.

Well, it appears that this has done more for me than just fix the bleeding. It is helping me tremendously. I have energy levels that I've never had before. I told my mom I feel better than I did when I was 20. I have been cleaning the house up. I was hanging up clothes and doing house work until 2 AM last weekend.

My mom says she's never seen me do so much work. My co-workers have also noticed the change in me. They are quite supprised. One of my co-workers has now tried this mix of juices. He says he can tell a difference. Don't know if it will help those with withdrawal symptoms, but I can say it has changed my life. I feel so much better.

My mix is 3/4 pineapple to 1/4 lemon juice. Get the not from concentrate pineapple juice as it is not diluted with water and other stuff.

Since it has helped me I started to research it a little and found this.

http://healthwyze.or...your-favor.html

I wouldn't have believed it until it worked for me.

------------------------------------------

I started this other thread on changing the PH balance of the body with these juices so if other members experimented with it they could post their experiences.

Maybe there something in the juice that can help repair Mirtz impaired brains. I though it was worth a try since it was natural. I'm to scared of so called pharma fixes.

Hi Chicken,

That is fantastic news. I am glad that you are feeling so much better.

I feel hopefull. Are you still tappering off medication?

How often do you drink this juice?

I might try it. I have acid reflux, is lemon going to aggrevate it? I know pineapple juice is good for the reflux.

I am really happy for you and that you have managed to turn your life around.

I should bring you around to my house since you have a lot of energy to clean! :)))

Keep us posted how you are doing. Best wishes, hopefull. :)

Hi all,

I made another update in the PH Level thread

http://survivingantidepressants.org/index.php?/topic/9242-changing-my-ph-level-this-has-worked-wonders-for-me/

I asked the Lord for wisdom and it was delievered. I'm hoping I have the menstural issues resolved now. Only time will tell. I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch.

I've made it down to 5mg of the AD so far. Things are going well as far as withdrawal goes. Keeping my fingers crossed. I'm more scared of life after the drug than tapering. When I get down to like 1 mg or something I may just hold there for a long time. We'll see. I will keep everyone posted.

Thank you all for your support and prayers. I really appreciate all the wisdom everyone has provided.

Also, I mentioned in earlier posts about my grandmother in the nursing home. They tried to put her on remeron. Luckily we stopped it in time. She is 91 and doing great. She is no longer on any AD's. She tried SSRI's some years ago. Here mind is very clear for her age. If her body was as good she could still live at home. She is on a benzo though. We have no plans to ever taper her off that. She is having no problems with it so I think it is best to let her be on that.

Hi Chicken,

Nice to hear from you.

I worry too about life after drugs. That is normal. But hopefully it won't be like what we imagine in our heads. You could be feeling so much better, after the drugs. One step at the time. When the time comes worry about it then. Until then, enjoy the progress you have made.

I am on 5mls too. Getting there slowly.

I am really happy for you! Keep us updated. Best wishes, Hopefull. :)

Thank you all for checking on me. Things are still going well. Have a few outside stressors but nothing I can't handle.

I think the magnesium is what is holding me and keeping natural anxiety from returning. Only time will tell. Will update if anything happens.

Hi chicken ,  good to hear you're doing okay.

You've written on Freedom's thread that you've been decreasing 10% every 2 weeks.  And now the

akathisia is trying to worm it's way in.  What does that tell us?

You can't outsmart this process Chicken.  It would be a real shame if you continue to rush along and

then get a severe delayed withdrawal from earlier cuts.

Please consider taking a good long hold till the new year.  I'm sure you'd like this to be your last taper ever.

Yes, I am doing a long hold now. Also, had a lot of stress over the last month of which I have eliminated.

Had to dampen down some toxic friendships. Told them that they were not going to drive me crazy, LOL.

Update:

Did dampen some toxic friendships and that helped with the stress.

I've taken Fresh's advice and still holding until after the new year.

I've had a nasty sinus infection/cold or something for two weeks. It lingers because I'm afraid to take anything for it as most sinus meds react with nortriptyline.

I've been taking aspirin pills for the past few nights. They have helped tremedoulsy. Also, using a neti pot religiously and rubbing Rawleigh medicated salve on my chest and face.

I just don't want to have to take an antibiotic. Hoping to survive Sinus. It's rough. I Have no more days to take off from work so I have to be there.

Hoping everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

I'm just reading an article about how important magnesium is and how 80% of the population may be mag. deficient.

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2015/01/19/magnesium-deficiency.aspx?x_cid=20151214_ranart_magnesium-deficiency_facebookdoc

So happy for you that the akathisia hasn't come back.

Have you looked at colloidal silver as an alternative to antibiotics?   The silver kills bacterial infections , and it has

no s/e or interactions with meds.   I put some into a nasal spray squirty-thing and have used that.  Highly recommended,

available at health food stores.

http://www.earthclinic.com/sinus-infection/colloidal-silver.html

Colloidal silver is a home remedy that many people rely on. As soon as they feel the first signs of a sinus infection (or similar ailment), they sniff a teaspoon into the sinus cavity or use a neti pot, take a spoonful or inhale the mist from a nebulizer. A natural mineral, colloidal silver is an effective treatment for a wide range of conditions, sinus infections in particular.

Hi Chicken,

Eucalyptus oil is a good decongestant for sinuses.

Put few drops in hot water, cover your head with a tea towel and inhale.

I hope that helps you.

What dosage of Mitrazapine are you on now?

Best wishes, Hopefull.

Thanks Hopefull and Fresh,

I have some eucalyptus oil. Fresh, I did have a colloidal silver generator somewhere but It think I donated it to charity about a year ago.

I'm better know. I ended up seeing a doctor because the fever would not go away. Looks as if a sinus cavity had completely closed up and nothing I sprayed into my nose  could get to it. I told him I would only take an antiboitic as last resort and he agreed. He said most patient come through the door wanting an antibiotic when it is not needed.

I told him about the drugs I was taking and I could  not take OTC sinus meds. He understood. Tried some Flonase and the infection has mostly drained out and I almost 100% now.

Hopefull, I stopped taking Mirtazipine 16 months ago.
