compsports
I have been posting on the Shrink Rap Blog comments, http://psychiatrist-blog.blogspot.com/ on various blog entries. I have repeatedly commented that psychiatry needs to study the 10% taper rule and finally, one of the psychiatrists, Roy, has done a blog entry on it. http://psychiatrist-blog.blogspot.com/2011/06/ten-percent-solution.html He asked for relevant links on pub med. As I responded in my comment as AA, I wondered why he needs research to back up something he said makes alot of sense and isn't dangerous. I also suggested he contact Dr. Belaise. I had already posted the link to the thread about the withdrawal studies so I didn't want to repost it as they don't seem to not like repeated postings of links. Do we have any that we could provide him? As an FYI, if anyone decides to comment there, they are on edge big time about people making what they perceive to be anti psychiatry statements. I know everyone here is very respectful but I just wanted to alert you to the the blog tenor in case you weren't familiar with it. I am very excited that we have an audience on a mainstream psychiatry blog to make our case.
