much love and hugs,ds

❤️🤗

Thanks for your kind words direstraits,

I hope you have a lovely day. It’s after ten a.m. and I haven’t managed to get out of bed as yet but I really want to have a shower, so 5,4,3,2,1 here I go😁. Have you ever listened to Mel Robbins and the five second rule? It’s quite effective. Just check it out on YouTube.

Sending hugs back🤗💚

Hi direstraits,

Yep, I got my shower on Tuesday. Yay! Then I went n lay back in bed for the rest of the day. Found distractions though to keep me entertained.

How are you doing? I’ve been pretty much bedbound but I’m in good spirits as I’ve had a few windows today n yesterday. Let’s see if they keep opening wider. You never know, do you? What will the next hour bring, or even the next minute, it’s anyone’s guess.

Have you gone on any more day trips? 🚘🗺

Hope you’re coping as best you can while going through these horrible things we call withdrawals.

Sending hugs🤗💚

we enjoy driving out to the country and seeing the horses, cows etc. ..maybe we'll do that later.🐎🐄

Hi direstraits,

So how is that new mattress of yours going? I hope it’s been beneficial.

I also hope you’ve managed to get out on some of those country drives. I’m hoping to go out in nature today, hopefully somewhere near water.

How have you been doing this week? One moment at a time, I’m gathering. That’s life in withdrawals, isn’t it? One step a a time, but it’s all forward moment even if it doesn’t feel like that at times.

Sending hugs n sunshine your way☀️🤗💚

thanks for stopping by, Carmie.

not getting the lower back pain like before so that's nice.

we had some snow on Wednesday and took a nice drive to see our animal friends.

not doing too badly...been taking some Epsom salt baths lately that seem to help I guess.

sometimes I get so hot inside but I don't sweat,it's so uncomfortable but I'm trying not to let it bother me too much.

I hope you're able to get out and enjoy yourself more.

hugs and sunshine back to you.

much love,ds

Oh that makes me happy DS! "Moving in the right direction", I'm so glad you are feeling that :) Definitely some improvement.

Thank you for your kind words and support. I am often losing hope that I will sleep well again some day. But your words make me happy for you, and also give me hope for my own future in the fight against the nasty paxil.

Love and hugs to you too

Athena ❤️

Hi direstraits,

Just popping in to see how you’ve been doing. How is that new mattress of your going?

I hope that you’ve been able to get out in nature and enjoy the animals and scenery. I just have to go onto my balcony and there are millions of birds waiting for their food at times. There were three kookaburras waiting at the same time yesterday, though there are four that usually come around.

One of the magpies is pretty much a pet, he eats out of my hand n flies into the loungeroom if we keep the flyscreen open. One of the baby magpies ate out my hand too n he came indoors one day too. Love animals so much. They can brighten our day when going through withdrawals.

We need to continue to look for things that give us joy when going through withdrawals, even if we are anhedonic or in the midst of a wave. We can’t stop the anhedonia or other symptoms so we just have to try and continue to live the best we can despite this. Not easy, but we don’t have a choice.

We will get there in the end though, one foot in front of the other. Here’s to getting through yet another day on our way to recovery.

Sending sunshine your way☀️☀️☀️

thanks for popping by,Carmie.

got to the mall the past 2 days ..bought a new pair of shoes, had lunch at the food court there, that was nice.

mattress is comfy, not getting the bad backaches like before

the birds sound lovely, I love them.we drove down to see our horse friends today, they had their coats on for the cold windy weather,so cute.

my husband lost his job just over a week ago but he's getting unemployment benefits and will be collecting social security in Jan. so we'll be OK.

I do like not being alone all day so we have to look on the bright side sometimes I guess.

well,I hope you have a decent day.

love and hugs,ds❤️☀️🤗

Hi again direstraits,

So glad you’ve been getting out and about. Enjoy your new shoes. I actually got some sandals the other day too. I’m not a big shopper and I don’t like owning lots of stuff. I can’t see the point in keeping things one doesn’t use. A friend of mine inherits clothes I don’t wear anymore.

I do love buying people presents though. That gives me great joy. I just got a friend the cutest little book on friendship quotes, all the pictures are of animals. Loooove animals. Friends of mine are taking me to Australia Zoo next month, so I hope I’m well enough to go. I want to see the animals again. Animals always bring a smile to my face. I think being in nature and around animals is so important for one’s wellbeing, especially when going through withdrawals.

I’m sorry your husband lost his job, but I’m glad you’re looking on the bright side. When things go wrong in my life I find I always learn something from it or that life takes me down an unexpected path that is quite eye opening. When you’re going through the horror of withdrawals nothing else that can happen in one’s life seems as bad.

Sending love and hugs back to you💚🤗

direstraits,

Yes indeed, five years is a long time to go through this dreadful situation. These drugs are such nasty business.  I know you will pull out of this present situation since you have before.  I am however sending positive wishes that you will pull at now. I feel for you my friend. Please continue to take care of yourself.

warm wishes,

Rachel

Hi Direstraits,

I’m really sorry you’re in an awful wave again. That protracted withdrawal really is a nasty thing to cope with. Five years of protracted withdrawals!! No fun whatsoever!! Those doctors and pharmaceutical companies certainly have a lot to answer for. I’ve been going through withdrawals probably that long, but I’m tapering and can hold every now and again and get a break from the waves.

From experience, you know that windows always come again, but when you’re in a wave,  like you are now, it feels like they’re never going to end, doesn’t it? I went through pretty much all waves for about three months at the end of last year, they did end though. Waves always end, it would be great if they weren’t so long at times.

Our brains are marvellous at healing though, they will heal eventually though. It took Alto eight years to heal, but she healed. You will heal, it would be nice to know a date though, wouldn’t it?

Take care, sending big hugs🤗🤗
