Frustrated
Weirdest thing happened last night. I all of a sudden got this wave of overwhelming fear that the Paxil caused permanent damage to my brain and that no matter what I did I would always be like this and would eventually end up in a psychiatric ward all alone. It plagued for quite awhile. I think I am seeing clearer this morning but it was scary. My head is really sore today. Feels like someone is squeezing my brain and I feel a bit dizzy and nauseous. And the body pain rages on. That is what I get for being optimistic. UGH! If I didn't have kids I would go back to bed. 2002-put on amitryptiline for fibromyalgia. 10mg.2004-stopped abruptly. Didn't think it helped.2006 approx.-put on Paxil for mild anxiety 20 mg.2007 upped to 40 mg. not sure why.2011- tapered from 40 to 10. went nuts and went back to 20mg2014- tapered from 20mg to 0 from April to The end of June.current meds- Metformin(type 2 diabetic) and low dose aspirin.Take multi vitamin and vit b12, vit. luv2knit
It is the withdrawal. It makes you think like that. Your brain is not damaged. You will get better, Frustrated--just hang in there. I had the feeling like someone was squeezing my head too. It was accompanied by burning pain, and was pretty constant for me for a couple of months. I did not get the brain zaps that many have. I think this is what I got in place of it--and yes, my head did feel sore sometimes too. Hope it doesn't last long! Zoloft 100 mg. daily for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome since Oct. 1994 / Synthroid 88 mcg. daily / Supplements: Neptune Krill Oil-1,000 mg. twice daily/Astaxanthin 10 mg. twice daily/Ubiquinol 100 mg. twice daily (These 3 have allowed me to discontinue (approved by doctor) bp meds I was on. Stress B Complex (1/2 dose)/Quercetin (for allergies/asthma)/Magnesium (400 mg. oral glycinate and about 50 mg. magnesium chloride spray oil a day, divided throughout day). Tapered Zoloft about 6 wks. Totally off since the end of July (25-29, 2014). 3 wks. vertigo at end of taper, then 3-4 wks. OK, followed by withdrawal symptoms increasing in severity (nausea, gastric disturbances, loss of appetite, insomnia, restlessness, jitters, anxiety, agitation--jumping out of my skin--possible akathisia?) Seem to have paradoxical reactions to everything new, even Vitamin C. Severity of akathisia comes and goes, but is constant to some degree. Hard to leave house, and cannot be home alone. Frustrated
UGH me too. I have had it a couple weeks so I am wondering if Reinstating the 1.2 mg is what is causing the head issues. It seems to correlate but I can't just not take it after I have been it for a few weeks. I think I am stuck like this now and I have to stabilize if that is possible and slowly taper down which will take alot of months. Frustrated
I am right sketched out today. Shaky even. WTF? I reinstated on NOv 30th, 1.2mg. Does anyone know if I have to continue taking this amount for months now before tapering down. Not sure if it is the reinstatement causing all my recent issues or just plain WD. Micromonster
If love to offer advice on the tapering but it scares me that I may advise wrong! I heard that if it's only a short reinstatement then the wd won't be so bad. The longer the use, the worse the wd, but sounds like your not fully recovered from you big taper 5/6 mo this ago. That's a shocking story about your sons trauma, I'm really sorry to hear that. It must make you wonder if his anxiouties now are related from the previous trauma?! As for the pharmacist saying about small doeses making no difference, be very wary. I'd have said the same a year ago, however, now I realise just how big a difference 1mg can make. It can be a stressful time of year so hopefully things will feel a lot less stressful for everyone I. A week or so. I keep reading about magnesium, think I'll give it a go. Micromonster
Nearly forgot, that feeling where you think it's going to last forever and you'll never feel 'normal'? Isn't it horrible! I assure you it's impossible for any feeling to last forever so don't believe it! I always get that, and have trouble convincing myself it won't last forever. Frustrated
Thanks micromonster. I appreciate your input. Administrator Altostrata Posted December 25, 2014 Administrator Share Posted December 25, 2014 Nope I use a pill cutter then I shave the piece and weigh it until it hits 0.010g. I am scared to make liquid because I am scared I will get an inacurate dose. What if you have more particulates in one dose then another? Not to worry, you stir the liquid around a little before drawing it up with the oral syringe, the particles are more evenly distributed. luv2knit
Frustrated, hope you had a good Christmas, and have been able to get some sleep! Calcium Citrate 500 mg. daily/Vitamin D3 2,400 iu daily/K2 (MK7) 100 mcg daily (osteopenia and fam. hist. of severe osteoporosis). Frustrated
Well the dentist wants to see my four year old this afternoon to check her tooth. It is an hour long bus ride there and then another hour back since I no longer have a vehicle. WITH A FOUR YEAR OLD. I awoke this morning with horrible cramping in my lower back and my calves are already popping and hurting so It isn't looking promissing. Hopefully my stomach holds out until I return home from the dentist. I often write what I am feeling not to be whiny and complain, but to document how I am doing from day to day for my own records. Just wanted to clarify in case others think I whine too much lol. If I look back I can see what wwas happening and when and it helps sort things out. That is how I knew the reinstatement was causing head pain. Anyway I hope everyone else has an ok day today. 2002-put on amitryptiline for fibromyalgia. 10mg.2004-stopped abruptly.
