Songbird: a little about me

Hi @Cheeky and @Carmie - thanks for thinking of me!

I am doing okay, but haven't done much tapering.  My body feels every tiny 0.1 mg drop and it takes months to stabilise, in particular I have difficulty falling asleep.  I also have some patches of mild anxiety and low mood that comes and goes.  I can't put it all down to withdrawal because there are some considerable life stressors at the moment with the pandemic and all.

I've just dropped to 2.3mg citalopram.  At this rate it will take me many more years to get down to zero, but I need to accept that this is the speed (ultra-slow) that I need to go.

Hi @Nemet  I think cysts are quite common, and guess mine were more likely related to age and menopause than withdrawal.  Congrats for being free of psych drugs!  It would be good if you could update your signature to show this.

Hi @Songbird,

I just read about your journey. I understand that at some point you cross tapered onto citalopram. I think I'm currently in a similar situation, where I hit a wall at 5.4mg of paroxetine (got severe nausea from this drop). I updosed to 6mg but it didn't help.

Could you please share some details about your cross taper? Specifically, what dose of paroxetine you were at before the bridge, and how you did it?

I'm just trying to gather as much info as I can before deciding on a plan.

thank you 🙏
