Moderator Emeritus Songbird Posted November 15, 2021 Author Moderator Emeritus Share Posted November 15, 2021 Hi @Cheeky and @Carmie - thanks for thinking of me! I am doing okay, but haven't done much tapering. My body feels every tiny 0.1 mg drop and it takes months to stabilise, in particular I have difficulty falling asleep. I also have some patches of mild anxiety and low mood that comes and goes. I can't put it all down to withdrawal because there are some considerable life stressors at the moment with the pandemic and all. I've just dropped to 2.3mg citalopram. At this rate it will take me many more years to get down to zero, but I need to accept that this is the speed (ultra-slow) that I need to go. Hi @Nemet I think cysts are quite common, and guess mine were more likely related to age and menopause than withdrawal. Congrats for being free of psych drugs! It would be good if you could update your signature to show this. 2001–2002 paroxetine 2003 citalopram 2004-2008 paroxetine (various failed tapers) 2008 paroxetine slow taper down to 2016 Aug off paroxetine2016 citalopram May 20mg Oct 15mg … slow taper down2018 citalopram 13 Feb 4.6mg 15 Mar 4.4mg 29 Apr 4.2mg 6 Jul 4.1mg 17 Aug 4.0mg 18 Nov 3.8mg 2019 15 Mar 3.6mg 21 May 3.4mg 26 Dec 3.2mg 2020 19 Feb 3.0mg 19 Jul 2.9mg 16 Sep 2.8mg 25 Oct 2.7mg 23 Oct 2.6mg 24 Dec 2.5mg 2021 29 Aug 2.4mg 15 Nov 2.3mg Link to comment

CloudyToday
Hi @Songbird, I just read about your journey. I understand that at some point you cross tapered onto citalopram. I think I'm currently in a similar situation, where I hit a wall at 5.4mg of paroxetine (got severe nausea from this drop). I updosed to 6mg but it didn't help. Could you please share some details about your cross taper? Specifically, what dose of paroxetine you were at before the bridge, and how you did it? I'm just trying to gather as much info as I can before deciding on a plan. thank you 🙏 2017 - 2018 Lexapro (CT, no withdrawals) 2018 - 2020 Zoloft (CT, no withdrawals) 2/15/21 - paxil 20mg 5/1/22 - started fast tapter, 10mg 3 weeks, 5mg 3 weeks, 0mg 2 days. 7/1/22 - start of withdrawals, dizziness, nausea, loss of appetite, shaky. Reinstated 10mg 8/1/22 - anxiety, panic attacks, sleep disorders (4-6 hours). Down to 9mg 9/1/22 - anxiety, panic attacks are gone. Sleep back to normal. Still struggling with appetite. Sporadic abdominal cramps. Down 8mg 10/10/22 - Down to 7.2 mg 11/10/22 - Down to 6.6 mg Tinnitus started after 2 weeks. Nausea is gone and appetite is slowly returning. 12/12/22 - 6 mg 1/11/23- 5.4 mg 1/13/23- 6 mg (up dosed) supplements: magnesium 300mg, taurine 2g, fish oil, vitamin E, probiotics, bioactive milk peptides, L-theanine Link to comment
