Therefore the long taper. Crazy, I know... Super sensitive to drops and have dropped by 4-6 % from the previous dose.

HI AmyK,  Hang in there, you will get through this symptom.  I hear your determination.

I too am super sensitive but have continued to drop because my body fights the drug.

I understand the pressure you feel and the desire to hide.  You have every right to this process and it's nobody's business what you are doing.   I know when I feel vulnerable after a drop, the world seems to intense and I feel like every scrap of energy affects me.

Maybe it is a time to pull in a bit till you stabilize after this cut.  Your life will be waiting.

I just see in your example how strong is this drug. Even nano particles of this SSRI can change the brain. How are you calculating this tiny drops, 10% from last dose or less? I see that you dropped to 0.086 on 1 March and on 4 March you dropped to 0.079 right? 3 days perhaps as you say would be too soon,

Started zoloft 25 mg on October 2009. Started tapering May 2016 to june 2016, last week at 12,5 mg and quitCrashed 23 january 2017, severe headache and panic (never had this panic all my life) next morning.Tried to reinstate with prozac 5 mg a day on 25 January 2016, bad choice, got arrhytmias and stopped. Started propranolol 40 mg as needed on january23 - 28 Feb 2017 Tried zoloft reinstatement at 1mg didnt work, more akathisia and head pressure.

Thankyou Hibari! I know, I am getting impatient. And when I get stronger side effects I tend to prefer wd to them.

I am not calculating at all now, Sert. I just go with how I feel. It would take forever to calculate 10 % drops all the way to zero. And I have tolerated the bigger drops in the last months. I was super careful down to 0.60 mg.

But I wouldnt recommend three days in between drops.

I can see that you are very sensitive since reinstatement of zoloft. Please be very careful now. Have you stabilized somewhat on 0.5 mg?

Many symptoms are starting to subside, thanks God and this forum. But some still linger, linke sensation of panic, during the morning and late on the day, also weird headaches that come in the morning and tend to go better trought the day. Palpitations still here but they are a less frequent. So i guess i am getting a little better i think and i hope.

But now that you ask, i think i am on 0.5, but i am not certain, because i am using those 1ml syringe which contains a number 100 at the top, and each 10 intervals are separated by 6 marks where we get 5 intervals between all this 6 marks. So my dose is more or less between the third and the forth mark, wich would equal to 0.5 or 0.6. So i dont really know if it is 0.5 or 0.6. But i will know soon.

I am going to buy a electronic pipette that measures liquids between 10 ul and 200 ul. Like those used on tha labs for extracting chemicals or cultures. with high digital precision. I have calculated that 30 ul equals exacly 0.6 mg. With this pipette i will be always sure that i am taking the right dose, even on droping. This pipette has a precision of 1 ul count. I know this kind of pipette are kind of expensive. Some are between 300 and 500 dolars. But hey, it is my health, i have spent much more in other garbage i dont need. But this could help to save my health. I will not only try to give stability to the CNS but also precision, because i heard some people using this syrynges when they aspirate to a dose that get on the middle of those marks, they dont have a clue it is 10 ul less or more, because we are pushing the liquid with our hands strength, and our hand fails many times. So i am going forward with this

You could dilute the liquid in even more water. That way it would be more exact.

I use this 1 ml syringe. It's not like yours then?

The only diference are the numbers, in your case the top is 0,1 ml, in my case is 100 instead of 1,0 ml but the measure is the same yes.  Yes i will dilute it in water in some point where i cant aspirate less with the electronic pipette, but i would always use the pipette and use the exact amount and dilute with water and the i will aspirate also the amout i need from the diluted water.

Check the pipette here. From the 1.46 minute you can see how aspiration is done,

Wow, that's really high tech! But expensive! You should send the bill to Pfizer. :)

I understand the need for accuracy though. It's horrible what these drugs do to us.

:D I will use the same stuff that Pfizer uses in their labs to revert the problem. Instead of buying a new laptop, a new TV, or a new whatever, or ... a new package with a bunch of meds from this pharmaceutical companies, i will buy this, this is usefull and it makes the difference in my health, so i will go forward.

Hey Amy, just so you know I'm thinking and following you all these days even I don't make a sound.

I can confrim the strong effects of the last super tiny doses. I'm reducing by 0.002 mg lexapro (3%) since down below 0.07 mg and my body responds like it was 0.1 mg when I was above 1mg (10%).

I changed to measure by drops then dilute the drops ( currently at 1.5 drop of 5mg/ml solution) by adding 150ml water to measure the 0.002mg, it is very accurate to be surprisingly nice.

I still take the liquid over many hours each day which worked out well to help with immediate relief of symptoms. I often feel amazed how much each tiny touch ( almost like just smell it) can do.

You will bounce back quickly like always. I would say to take as much time as possible to allow the body to heal while hanging to these tiny doses.

Hugs,

Lex

I am glad you found a way to make smaller drops, Lex. I am so sorry it's so incredibly tough for you.

I thought that on these tiny doses I would feel nothing. How wrong!

We have to vision the day all this is over. There is an end to this.

Hi Amy

Just wanted to ask, are you really tired as you go lower?  I am very low on Remeron and I find I am sleeping close to 10 hours a night and then feel really groggy in the morning.  It reminds me of when I was first on the med but that was at 7.5.

Therefore the long taper. Crazy, I know... Super sensitive to drops and have dropped by 4-6 % from the previous dose.

Well, I am down to 0.052 mg zoloft since today. I felt that drugged feeling again yesterday and then I know its time to drop. The last few days have been filled with anger after taking the drug, so strange. I have been yelling at my family and have been soo angry. I really hope this anger will subsidie once off.

Maybe one more drop? I don't know. Going to zero both scares me and excites me.

I hear you Amy about being scared and excited.  I also get the question about whether to take another drop or get off.  You have a wise inner voice that seems to be guiding you and you will probably get the answer to that question when it's time to drop.

Lex, I hope and vision that. For all of us.

Thanks Hibari for your support. Yes, I can't plan. I just go with how it feels. I can see that you are on a very low dose of Remeron. I will read your thread.

It never ceases to amaze how strong the bind is to these drugs.  Reinforces the fact that THE DOCTORS HAVE NO CLUE HOW THESE WORK AND IMPACT US.

Amy, you are doing great and are almost there.  Stick to your knitting and you will be done and off of this poison.

Best,

Andy

Sertraline 50mg and Clonazapam .375mg from 2000 -- symptoms of dizziness Spring 2012

increased to .5 Clonazapam and 100mg Sertraline -- no improvement

Benzo microtaper from November 2012 to November 2014 (followed benzo sites "taper benzo first")

Started Sertraline taper in December 2014 cut by 25mg to 75mg; 62.5mg 1/1/15 and 50mg on 2/1/15

Held at 50mg through April 5 to use liquid
Reduced dosage in 10% or less drops from 50mg to 25mg -- at single tablet of 25mg on 10/5/15

Transitioned to all liquid for accuracy while tapering -- Horrible insomnia -- back to 25mg liquid and held until October 1, 2016

10/16 -- 11/18 tapered very slowly to 10.6mg.  No real improvement and never really stable so updosed to 12.5mg (1/2 a pill) for convenience and long hold.

After 8+ months of holding with no noticeable improvement decided to add .4ml of liquid Prozac (about 1.5mg) to see if that improves the situation

Supplements, Magnesium, D3, Omega 3, curcumin, Valerian, 81mg Aspirin, L-Theanine, Vit. C,

I know, Andy. It's incredible. Also, I never ever thought I had to go down this low in dose... But I am super sensitive, so please dont feel discouraged as you are on sertraline as well. Some people can stop on higher doses than this.

Thankyou for cheering me on. I wish you continued healing. All the best!

Hang in there, Amy! You are almost there now.

Im feeling pretty good after jumping from 0.04. Had insomnia the first night and some akathisia, but nothing more than usual after a drop. The next days wil tell me more. You should be fine jumping from a low dose like this.

Keep up the good work!

Cipramillion

<p>Sept 2015: 5 mg Cipralex for 3 weeks. Lots of side effects. Reduced to 2.5 mg for 2 weeks. Experiencing withdrawal and side effects still after dose reduction. Quit after almost 4 weeks on 2.5 mg because of adverse effects. Experiencing withdrawal symptoms still. Reinstating 1mg after 3 weeks. Reduced to 0.50 after 2 days due to sensitive reaction (dysautonomia) and trip to ER. January 2016: After 14 months of tapering from 0.5 mg im now down to 0.08mg. Planing on one more drop before 4-8 weeks healing, then jump to zero. 14.03.17: Lexapro free!

Adding my additional 2 cents.

I have been playing with the super tiny doses these days. Sorry to report that adding 0.0004mg lex can flip the symptoms from WD to side effects, and I say loud it's not placebo effects.

You have been doing wuite well with the tiny drops, and I would think continuing it until the end, Even it Can't be too much longer.

One can't be too cautious in dealing with these drugs.

Started on 25 mg Zoloft in March 2011 due to stressrelated tinnitus that gave me panicattacks. Had a terrible reaction to Zoloft from start, but was told to "hold on". After four months I was stuck. Therefore the long taper. Crazy, I know... Super sensitive to drops and have dropped by 4-6 % from the previous dose.

Amy. Like everyone else here I just wanted to cheer you on to the end point which is so near now. You have done so amazingly well but as you're sensitive it is probably best to be extremely careful - even now. I would continue on with the tiny drops as far as you possibly can.

Many SSRI's and SSNRI's over 20 years. Zoloft for 7 years followed by Effexor, Lexapro, Prozac, Cymbalta, Celexa, Pristiq, Valdoxan, Mianserin and more - on and off. No tapering. Cold turkey off Valdoxan - end of May 2014

I was looking at my scales this morning and thought to myself "I'll be able to put you away soon and forget all about you."  It's a bit melancholy. It's been such a big part of your's and my lives for so long and now it's over. Another big step into the unknown.  I know it's not quite over yet, but I'm crying tears of relief for us both.

((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))

20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013.

Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks.  The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better.

Final Dose 0.016mg.     Current dose 0.000mg 04-15-2017

Yes, relief, Tom. Your words brought tears to my eyes. It has been unbelievable long. But it has been so nice to have you walking next to me (and others) on this long journey. I just wish you all the best!

(I actually have thought I will crash my scale!)

Hugs!!!
