I found one on histamine.  Thank you

1996-2014 - 3mg Clonazepam - Started weaning off in 2010, took 4 years.  All is fine.

2010-2014 - 30mg - 180mg percocets per day.  Quit CT in 2014.  All is fine.

2010-2014 - Mixed in Suboxen while not on percs... 8mg-32mg per day.  Quit CT in 2014.  All is fine (I think)  Opiates don't fully work yet.

2015 - Quit smoking weed, all is fine.

2015- Stopped drinking, all is fine.

2015-  Stopped drinking coffee, all is fine.

2010-2014 - 10mg of Lexapro for first 2 years, then 15mg for another 2 years

Quit over 3 week period - still experiencing bad withdrawal, but very slowly getting better... too slow.

9/4/2015 - Reinstated 1mg liquid Lexapro.  So far, it's not helping... maybe hurting but not sure yet.

9/5/2015 - Stopped the 1mg, made it worse.  I will ride it out, currently drug free.

Hey lostinspcae, good to hear you are healing!

Like you, I'm extremely sensitized after severe drug reaction from multiple dose increases and can't take anything including vitamins. One supplement I am still able to take without any issues is OPC 3 isotonic. You can check online for detailed info, it's a pure natural ( grape seed extract and pine tree bark extract plus red wine extract ) product typically used for allergy in Europe. It's antioxidant effects helps with weak immune.

How about your work? I hope you survived too in that.

Hi Lex,

Yah, you think it's worth trying and not snake oil?  Maybe I'll give it a shot.

I never stopped working.  I've looked quite crazy but I'm still here!  And this year looks to be better than the last few, so it was worth hanging in.

Thanks for checking in.

It helped my allergy before meds time, and I've been taking it all these years. My feeling is, it's a long term general health improvement supplement instead of short term quick fix. I would think it very safe even for the harmed nerve system. I'm guessing the mechanic of sensitivity is somehow similar to that of allergy.

I totally know what you meant by looking crazy! Glad you made it so far and moving forward to a better year!

Best,

Hi LostInSpace, @LostInSpace

I found your post in Success Stories and moved it back here, for now.  You could, if you haven't already done so, scan through some of the Success Stories, and then ask specifically in the topics, your question again.

How are you doing?

And welcome back.

I have not seen you about the site for some time.  And.......so hope that you are seeing improvements.

I was off everything, after a very long history of psych drugs, in 2016 December.  I think I have followed a fairly typical Windows and Waves pattern of healing.  And believe that I started healing pretty much from the get go, to some extent.

At this point out, I really have to say, that I am doing Well, with a capital W.  I did get a Wave back last fall that lasted a couple of months.  And it did have some high intensity symptoms included.  Which resolved.

And oh, so hope you are doing pretty good right now.  Do tell.  Symptoms now?  Have you hit a wave?  I hope not, fingers crossed on that, but do tell.

Started with psycho meds/psychiatric care circa 1988.  In retrospect, and on contemplation, situational overwhelm.

Hello - I have not improved much at all.  But about a year into withdrawal, I found I had Lyme disease and other chronic conditions.  I started treating aggressively but did not notice any improvement there either.  Just recently, over 5 years past cold turkey, I'm starting to have stronger windows and waves, but overall my condition has worsened.  Now I cannot tolerate any supplements, meds, etc.  I feel the end is very near.  I"ve made all the preparations but will hold on awhile longer to see if things improve.

Oh no LostinSpace,

I am so sorry to hear that.

Lyme disease and healing from withdrawal

you may have found this on your own ^

And we do, have some other members, with chronic conditions as well.  How were you diagnosed?  And what other conditions, if you don't mind saying?

But oh, so very sorry, as it sounds just really, really tough at this point.

Yes, please hold on, for improvements.  And I will keep you in my thoughts, as well.  For healing.

What did you do, in the way of treating aggressively?

Stronger Windows sound good, but not stronger Waves.

Can you give us, or would you like to give us an idea, of some of the symptoms you deal with now?

I was diagnosed with blood work, urinalysis (checking for DNA of pathogens) and Autonomic Response Testing.  Issues are Lyme, co-infections, herpes, Epstein Barr Virus is a big one,  and possible intestinal parasites.  I treated with many powerful herbs, binders, coffee enemas, saunas, other supplements, strong drugs from a compounding pharmacy, etc.  0 progress made.  I'm moving onto rife and PEMF treatment which at this point may be my last hope, since these modalities can reach areas of the body herbs and other remedies can not.

I have severe stabbing, kneading, throbbing, pinching, vibrating and vice like gripping all up and down the left side of my head and face. Primarily in the jaw, teeth and gums, undulating and radiating in every direction.  In some spots it is like several electric sewing machine needles bunched together drilling down that never shut off.  It causes my face to contort.  This has been going on for 5 years, nonstop.  There is never relief.  To accompany it, there is temperature dysregulation, bilateral tinnitus, cognitive challenges, severe anxiety, paranoia, confusion, racing and intrusive thoughts.  I’ve considered this next problem to be an atypical psychosis, a non-hallucinatory dissociation.  I am not fully connected to the same world everyone else is.  I do not perceive all the aspects of life exactly how they are happening although I know they are there.  It’s like I’m living life with my hands up against the glass of room I cannot get out of.  I do not comprehend things fully.  At work events like trainings, I see people talking but often cannot assimilate the information.  I am trapped in a dark and torturous place, far away from where you live.  I cannot communicate properly.  I often look crazy or angry and have a difficult time with the simplest of conversations.  I am easily misunderstood which is very painful.  I repel people.  I never feel joy, calmness or peace of mind.  There is no relaxing to watch a movie. No sitting down quietly to read a book.  Sitting across from someone having a meal is a very difficult task.  Relationships are impossible.  I experience anger and frustration but have very little feeling.  I cannot be in the sun for very long, exercise much or let my body temperature rise.  I cannot be on my feet for more than about 30-45 minutes due to inflammation.  Lately, I spend most of my day horizontally just trying to make it to the end of the day, bewildered at the severity of my condition.

I have acquired enough Nembutal to kill me twice, but I've had a spiritual awakening recently, and what I've learned about the soul's path and potential blow back from exiting early has stopped me from taking the final steps.  Also because of the shock wave it would send through the family, leaving them with an awful mess to clean up.  But my suffering is ineffable and not sustainable.

We shall see.

LIS, with all your health problems, it's very difficult to tell which of your symptoms are due to withdrawal syndrome. You may be past that.

It's possible that all the other drugs and treatments you've had made your nervous system hypersensitive to all kinds of things. For example, you may have food intolerances that might improve with a simple exclusion diet, see

Food sensitivities

Histamine food intolerance

Elimination or exclusion diets for reactions to food (food intolerance)

Antibiotics, anti-fungals, anti-virals, anti-parasite drugs can all have adverse effects that might upset your system for a long time. You might look for Lyme disease forums for peer support.

I'm sorry we can't offer any advice, we don't do general medicine here. Please hang on for recovery.

This is not medical advice. Discuss any decisions about your medical care with a knowledgeable medical practitioner.

Hey @LostInSpace stay strong man! Please. The suffering is real, I get it! But you don’t know what the future holds. Better or worse, it seems to me you’re only going to get better. But you don’t know unless you give it a chance. I bet people saw improvements 5+ years out. Plus, you say you’re having windows and waves. Strong ones. I think that’s amazing. Please dude, stay strong for a while.

im not just saying this. I genuinely mean this. You better stay strong.

Example:

2018 - Started Effexor 37.5 in Janurary of 2018
2019 January, 2nd  - Cold Turkeyed from Effexor for 3 days. Reinstated on the third day, then stabilized(It took 3 months to stabilize)

2019 June - I switched from Effexor instant release to Extended Release 37.5 for better tapering. I tapered to 50% in 4 weeks before reinstating my dosage back to 37.5(due to withdrawls). I waited 2 months to stabilize but never did at 37.5

2019 September - continued to taper in to 25% on extended release

2019 October - continued to taper to half of the beads(18.75mg)... WIthdrawls were so bad I tried switching back to the instant release at the same dosage(18.75mg)

2019 November 28th - Discontinued effexor at 18.75 without anymore tapering.

2020 January - Just can't sleep, have constipation, low libido and still lack of full emotion

Dude no problem! We’re all on this journey of the unknown . Thanks for updating us. The only thing I could say ( and you already know this) Is just stay far away from other drugs and treatments unless it’s life or death. It’ll give your CNS time to heal better without interruptions. I’m not big on the whole diet thing helping us but I also think we’re all different. It’s helped some people but most of them were already years out of WD and admit they don’t know if that’s what caused them to get better. But might be worth a try.

anyways, just being real with ya. How old are you? I’m 31. I’ve read somewhere that @Rhiannon Said that she sees the younger people end up having the worst symptoms. The ones that took the drug when their brain was developing, etc. I try to consider that too. Love ya man. @LostInSpace

Thank you.  I"m 42 and on paper, very healthy.

Due to another sudden intolerance had to fast taper venlafaxine to 1,14mg

Seems like all of this time I was in benzo withdrawal, because when I took it now in desperation to help it made me feel worse, tried reinstatement first 1mg, then 0,05mg both made me feel worse.
