Update. without excessive physical activity (my main trigger)  was able to sleep 5-7 hours per night for the last week.   Problem is multiple awakenings during night with extremely vivid nightmares and absolutely nonrestful sleep. Other symptoms - constantly  burning hands and feet and emotions intolerance (excessive emotions, good or bad cause shivering, extreme body burning even OCD like behaviour). That's all.

2017 - july 2018 - phenazepam 1mg  when needed (kindling)

aug 2018 - phenazepam 1mg , escitalopram 5mg daily.

september 2018 - CT from benzo and escitalopram, olanazapine 5mg for 3 days with no effect. Reinstated benzo 1mg , felt better and CT after few days.

october 2018 - mirtazapine (remeron)30mg

november 2018 - mirtazapine stopped working for sleep, Mirtazapine CT, then reinstated and  CT (two weeks) Reinstated benzo and CT after week

december 2018 -  seroquel 25 then 50mg, fluvoxamine several days (blurred vision), clomiprine 1 pill (seizure), amitriptyline 25 or  75 several days.

january- 2019 - seroquel 50mg started building tolerance , so took 75-100 sometimes, depakote  300mg  then 600, then 750 mg, started building tolerance too.

february 2019 - CT seroquel, CT depakote.

Privet Alex. Is cheese the only thing that helps you sleep? What type of cheese? Tvorog?

I've been craving pickled tomatoes a lot, and rotisserie chicken. You know, Russian-style marinovaniye pomidori.

2000: Paxil, low dose. 2001: Paxil, quickly tapered off. 2006: Zoloft, 25mg. 2007: Wellbutrin, low dose, discontinued after a week or a month. 2007-2009: Zoloft, increasing dose (up to 75mg). 2009-2011: Zoloft, failed withdrawal attempts (cold-turkey; fast tapering). 2009-2011: Trying out Cymbalta, Celexa, Prozac, Lexapro, Ambien, Ativan, and Xanax. 2012-2015: Zoloft, 100mg to 200mg. 2013: Trazadone for Zoloft-induced insomnia, 25mg to 50mg.  2015: Trileptal, dose?, withdrew; Bupropion, up to 200mg. 2016: Zoloft, 137mg, Bupropion, 150mg, Trazodone, 25mg.

05/21/16: Began Zoloft taper - 10% from 150mg - 137ish mg

06/23/16: Zoloft taper - 125mg

08/03/16: Bupropion XL taper - cut 150mg pill in crude half (mistake)

10/31: Zoloft successfully down to 100mg. Staying on 100mg for 2-3 months to let my brain rest.

11/09: Wellbutrin SR prescribed, 150mg once a day, for withdrawal.

12/11: Wellbutrin SR, twice daily - minus 18ishmg = 112.50mg

09/30/17: Off Wellbutrin SR successfully. Zoloft taper: 90ish mg (shaving it off). Trazodone: still at 50mg.

June 2018: Zoloft: 80ish (shaving off). Trazodone: 6mg. End of 2018: Off Trazodone.

01/20: Zoloft: 70ish?

08/20: Still around 80 or 70. Tapering by only 15 shaves each month.

04/2021: 50mg! 11/2022: 40ish mg

Privet. How are you doing? Belarus made cheese Eltermani helps sleep becouse of trypyophan, Almost Every cheese have high amount of  tryptophan in it. . Didn't know that in some coutries  tvorog considered as a type of cheese.. Always thought of it as a separate product. I had been craving pechenie (cookies) and fruits and had been eating it for three days it until stopped sleeping. Of course I know "маринованные помидоры" ))) Do ou have adverse reaction on pickled tomatoes or cant find it in your country? Its possible to have adverse reaction, because they are high of glutamate and every night shades have substances in it that disrupt sleep.  I managed to sleep few hours after last post. I think sugar is a very big no-no in withdrawal, I knew it but couldnot resist the smell of Russian homemade cookies)).  Do you have sugar intolerance?

Privet Alex. I was looking for a new avatar and saw this cute one, which you'll understand:

I'm in a funk. How about you?

Haven't heard of Eltermani chees before. What kind of cookies and fruits were you craving? Cookies and fruits is a favorite subject of mine.

No adverse reaction to pickled tomatoes. There's a Russian store nearby that carries them. But yes, I heard of issues some people have with nightshades.

I don't know if I have sugar intolerance. I don't think so. But it sounds like sugar makes it hard for you to sleep? Even fructose? :(

Privet . I just woke up in a funk this morning.  Eat several cookies yesterday )) and paid the price of no sleep.  About your avatar, its fine but I don't like russian words In it because its international forum and I would use english so everyone could understand. But its only my opinion. I am craving for oatmeal cookies and you yogurt cakes. Havent tried fructose yet. I used to take phenazepam  , its many times stronger than valium or othr benso, so I think my sugar intolerance related to benzo withdrawal and maybe u don't have it. But I am 100% sure that too much  sugar is bad for gut health.

How are you holding up Alex?

I was on 300mg dose of seroquel 10 years ago. I tapered to zero over time. I remember that my sleep was very bad for months afterwards.

I also was confused a lot of the time, memory problems, exhausted, very irritated all the time. Sometimes I felt that I had really lost my sanity.

Finally it passed and during 2012 I had some of the best time in my life.

I hope your sleep gets better. With extreme insomnia it's very hard to work, not to mention dating or even going out with friends.

I wish you luck, don't give up.

2014 June. Citalopram 30mg, Seroquel 25mg. 2016 sept. quit seroquel 25mg fast taper, citalopram 20mg

2017 July citalopram drop to 10mg

2018 March - 2019 July 15th gradual taper to 1.52mg

2019 July 22nd - 24th 5mg. July 25th 4mg.

2019 November updose Citalopram to 5mg.

2020 May updose Citalopram to 10mg.

Magnesium 200mg nightly.

Fish oil: teaspoon every night.
