I don’t really understand how to  cut a 1mg tablet into the amounts necessary with any accuracy.

Please see:

Please check out the scale and liquid threads and see which method you prefer and then we can provide more details.

Please note that Klonopin is not very soluble in water, but it is fat soluble (whole milk works best) and it's soluble in alcohol and propylene glycol. So if you opt for a liquid titration, you could either use milk or a small amount of alcohol or propylene glycol to dissolve the pill, and then you add water. That being said, people have used water to taper Klonopin and done okay, the important thing is to go slow and to be consistent with your method.

After you have a read, please post any questions or concerns.

I am having a great deal of trouble. I have been off clonazepam since December 12. I am having severe anxiety and depression. I can’t seem to do anything. I’m afraid of everything. I feel mental. Hopeless. Alone. Empty. Agoraphobic. Anhedonia. I stopped my antidepressant in April. Tapered clonazepam from a July to Dec. I am currently off of everything. Not sure where to turn.

Hi Jlkdr,

- How have you tappered your Ad-Prozac?

Unfortunately, these are common WD symptoms.

- Isee in your signature that you take a lot of supplements : you should know that when our CNS is destabilised we can be supersensitive to supplements (like herbs, Bvitamins, ...).

Stay strong ❤️

When did these symptoms start? It's safe to reinstate a benzo within 2 - 4 weeks after coming off, so if you were stable within the prior month, you may want to reinstate a small amount of the clonazepam.

Please post your thoughts.

Hi, Shep, I’ve been struggling a while. I don’t think I ever stabilized during my taper, but I definitely wasn’t this bad at the end. It’s been now about 5 weeks since I completely stopped the klonopin. In retrospect, I think my taper was too quick. I’m suffering a host of symptoms. The fear and anxiety and terror are bad. Depression is severe. Life seems hopeless. I know I spend too much time idly, but I don’t have the brain to see myself out of this hole. Everything looks bleak. Jlkdr

Erell, I’m not sure I remember. I probably went from 30mg Prozac to 20 for a couple of weeks and then to 10 for a few days, then off. Not a real taper. I didn’t know better.

Hi

You went off Prozac pretty quickly, and off Klonopin Too

I know how hard symptoms are To handle, but I hope it Will provide you some réassurance To know that all you're going through is common with these drugs.

You may not be able To see the big picture for now, but believe me, it does get better.

Stay strong ❤

Thank you so much, Erell! I’ll try to remember that. Today my symptoms are mild somehow, even though I have been unable to sleep for days. Thank you for the encouragement. ❤️
