Hello, and welcome to SA.  We are a peer owned and run forum of people who have been or are getting off of psychiatric drugs.  Can you please tell us more about your taper off of the Benzos?  What was the withdrawal like, and how are you feeling now?  It would help to have specific information about your taper off the Benzos.  Please give us specific information about your drug history.  Read the link below for instructions.  This will allow us to give you the best guidance.

How to List Drug History in Signature

Here is some information about how these drugs actually work.

How Psychiatric Drugs Remodel Your Brain

Tapering is best done extremely slowly, and we taper by 10% of the current dose, so that the taper becomes exponentially smaller.

Why Taper by 10% of my Dosage

Also, as we are tapering, we suggest keeping things slow, simple, and stable.

Keep it Simple, Slow, and Stable

We don't suggest many supplements, but 3 that many of us find helpful are magnesium, omega-3, and melatonin. Here are the links for info about those. It is suggested to add one at a time, and start with a low dose to see how it affects you.

Magnesium

Omega 3 Fish Oil

Melatonin

I've given you quite a bit of information here.  Please read through it, and mull it over, and we will take it from there. When we know more, we will give you a suggested course of action.

Hello @Me85.  It sounds like you are still having some withdrawal symptoms from getting off of the Benzos.  I would strongly suggest that you wait a while before tapering off Fevarin.  Give your nervous system a chance to fully heal and stabilize from getting off the Benzos.  If you went into another taper now, you could possibly stress your nervous system and go into severe withdrawals which could last for many months to years.  If it were me, I would wait at least 3 - 6 months.  Then, I would introduce a very careful and gradual taper.  (see link above about tapering 10% of dose)

Here are some links about why this is so:

What is Withdrawal Syndrome?

Please read the Simple, Slow and Stable Link I gave you above.

When we recover, there are times of feeling OK mixed in with times of feeling bad.  This is called windows and waves.

Previous post moved to keep your history all in one place.  Please keep your questions and discussion about your own situation in this one thread, so the mods can see all the pertinent information here and best help you. Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this.  I'm proud of you for soldiering on in spite of how brutal drug withdrawal can be.

Can you please tell me what symptoms you are experiencing?  Here is a link that has lists of common WD symptoms:

Dr Joseph Glenmullen Withdrawal Symptom Checklist

Are you taking any supplements, vitamins, or ingesting any caffeine?  Even decaf coffee has some caffeine, and can disturb a sensitized nervous system. It does mine.

I would suggest that you keep a daily log of when you take your medications, and what your symptom pattern is throughout the day.  Please be specific about times, and symptoms.  That way we can see if this might be a withdrawal symptom from the benzos, or if you are having an adverse reaction to the Fevarin.  Please do this for several days, and then make a post with a copy of your log.  Thank you.

To answer your question, no, I don't believe that withdrawing Fevarin should be as brutal.  We at SA have a lot of good information about how to do a safe withdrawal that minimizes the risk of severe symptoms.  It's a good thing you are going to wait to allow your system to stabilize.  If it were me, I would listen to my body and wait until I felt well for while before I started to taper.

Hi, thank you for getting back To me! So I’m beginning to feel a little bit better now, like 10%. I have some waves and windows.
my symptoms are anxiety, looping thought, dizness, balance issue, ear pressure, confusion, I’m pretty sure theses are from benzo.
I take only vitamins D as my results show lack of it.
is there Fevarin in liquid form?

On various ssri since I was teen, and Rivotril when needed, never took constantly, and my dose was like maximum 0.25 a day for a couple of days.
