Hi, my name is Andrew, and I've been wanting to take respite for 1 to 3 weeks, maybe more, at a calm and diverse place. I've found no exact place, but Will Hall suggested asking peer community for their related sensitivity, even if it wasn't about drugs.

The Family Care Foundation closed, but like them I'm looking for people with capacity to sanctuary others in crisis. Since state and private crisis respites in the US are limited by prior-residence, financial, rigid-schedule, or invasive-intake barriers,

Might anyone with care and capacity be open to informally allow semi-self-contained people like me to stay with them? And/Or ask understanding family/companions if they can offer a quiet, dark room and compassionate, uninvasive environment?

Thanks for taking the time to read my message,

Andrew

Hello, and welcome to Surviving Antidepressants.  As the name of our forum implies, this is a site for people who want to get off of psychiatric medications.  This is outside of the scope of the purpose of this forum.  If I were you, I would consider checking out Air B & B for a place to stay.

***Please note this is not medical advice.  Discuss any decisions about your medical care with a doctor who understands psych meds and how to withdraw from them, if you can find one.
