Ashton1226
No I couldn’t tolerate it. I took it for a week and felt numb for weeks after stopping. I’m debating restarting the prestiq again but I don’t know that I’ll find a compounding pharmacy near me in Georgia. Started Wellbutrin 2017 Dr told me to stop cold turkey 2018 had withdrawal. Started Zoloft 2018 made me feel like a zombie switched to Desvenlafaxine 25 mg ER. Tapered off Desvenlafaxine for 2 weeks in April. Just started Prozac 10 mg 6/13/22 for what I believe is withdrawal. Link to comment

Ashton1226
I just asked the nurse for her to get Dr to write a prescription for compounded prestiq as I’m going to try to reinstate and wean slower. It’s been about 4 months but I’m having a hard time and she said it probably isn’t withdrawal. I’m so discouraged and I know it’s my own fault for stopping cold turkey but I had no clue. Administrator Altostrata Posted July 26, 2022 Administrator Share Posted July 26, 2022 Correct, compounded desvenlafaxine is immediate-release desvenlafaxine and probably has to be taken twice a day. If you read Tips for tapering off desvenlafaxine (Pristiq) , you will see that venlafaxine can be a good substitute for its sibling desvenlafaxine. Venlafaxine XR can be taken once a day. Then you'd taper off venlafaxine, fyi Tips for tapering off venlafaxine (Effexor) This is not medical advice. Discuss any decisions about your medical care with a knowledgeable medical practitioner.
