While SAMHSA recognizes patients as its "stakeholders," it has been curiously resistant to the idea that so-called mental illness might be better treated by non-drug means. Last year, it extended an invitation to Robert Whitaker to speak at a national conference, then rescinded the invitation, then when there was public outcry, permitted him to speak in a highly restricted format. Registration on this site is free and you get 10 votes to distribute on any topic. When you register, you also get access to sending SAMHSA messages.
