Roads Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Will heaven fall upon us? Will the earth open under us? We don't know We don't know, for a total eclipse has come upon us But no need to fear. It is not over. For across the glowing sphere of the sun, Slowly, the moon swims away And the sun once again burst forth. This is taken from the first scene of a movie. I wanted to share it because, in my current situation, it speaks so much to my soul, and it always moves me and fills me with hope. I find it a perfect metaphor of what all of us experience through withdrawal. The sheer grace of the scene helps me so much to relativize and to turn me to light, even in the darkest of wd. I thought maybe it would be worth sharing it. It is a bit slow to set up, and the first minutes may seem a bit boring and unsettling, but from 5.30 to roughly 7.30, it is pure grace.
