MonadoArts7827 Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 I posted my story here already, but for those who don't know I've been dealing with this abnormal pressure feeling in my head for over 2 years now. It literally feels like there's a giant bubble in the back of my head. Kinda like a pins and needles feeling as well. I quit Adderall about 2 years ago and was on a relatively low dose so my theory is that it was that. I've posted on so many other drug sites, though, and literally NO ONE ELSE had these symptoms. Is there anyone else that can relate to having what I had? Again it feels like a giant bubble is in the back of my head or that something is inflating in my head. I thought it was a brain tumor or something so I got an MRI and CT scan but both came back normal....so either it's anxiety or withdrawal. Ugh. I seriously hate this. It's been 2 years already. Make it freakin stop already June 2013 - Vyvanse 40mgs and Adderall 20mgs March 2015 - Concerta 36mgs and Seroquel 50mgs August 2016 - Vyvanse 50mgs November 2016 - Current - Vyvanse 60mgs, Seroquel 50mgs (I cut them in half and only take 25mgs), Wellbutrin 450gs (I hardly ever take it) Current Withdrawal Symptoms: Very abnormal pins and needles/bubble feeling on the right and backside of my head (thought it was a brain tumor, so got both an MRI and CT Scan that came back normal), random waves of extreme depression sometimes with suicidal thoughts, tired most of the time, get anxious for seemingly no reason, sometimes hard to sleep. September 6, 2021 - Completely off all drugs. Still smoke a lot of cannabis. Take Animal Pak, L Tyrosine, and Organic Mucana as supplements.

Cherry47 Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 I have something very similar but no longer all the time. It was horrendous for about six months, probably between 12 and 18 months off, but now only seems to get bad from leaning my head back on something for too long. I had a chiro manipulate my neck (very gently) and some acupuncture - whether this helped or not, hard to say, maybe it just went away. But something like that might be worth a try. Like you I had all the scans, nothing there so I have no doubt it is due to withdrawal. Also check out GrandmaD as she talks about 'pressure heads'. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for 32 years, given AD for this condition alone in 2000 Zoloft 100mg for 15 years, last five of these complained about adverse effects, unable to tolerate other meds even supplements Slowly felt sicker, advised by different Dr maybe on ads for too long Cut back 100 - 50 over 6 months, still getting worse, so stopped over about 6 weeks starting Dec 2014 First month, slow, emotional, useless then POW! Horrendous withdrawal symptoms, completely non-functional for about five months, slowly started to come back to life and continue with waves and windows, still more bad than good, but bads are less bad, and goods slightly better each time
LexAnger Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 No doubt it's from the WD of any of these psych drugs! I am still tapering and the pressure head, and entire left body plus pins and needlings allover have been with me over the past 4 years of tapering. No need to do any tests in my opinion, all these weird symptoms can't be from any normal illness but these brain altering poisons. I don't see why nobody understands or says it's 'just anxiety'. I've asked serious meth addicts if they've gone through the same and they said no. Granted everyone's symptoms are different but man. I'm glad that someone at least is finally starting to see it my way. If they could FEEL what exactly it is I'm going through I'm almost positive they wouldn't dismiss it as 'anxiety'. :/ June 2013 - Vyvanse 40mgs and Adderall 20mgs March 2015 - Concerta 36mgs and Seroquel 50mgs August 2016 - Vyvanse 50mgs November 2016 - Current - Vyvanse 60mgs, Seroquel 50mgs (I cut them in half and only take 25mgs), Wellbutrin 450gs (I hardly ever take it) Current Withdrawal Symptoms: Very abnormal pins and needles/bubble feeling on the right and backside of my head (thought it was a brain tumor, so got both an MRI and CT Scan that came back normal), random waves of extreme depression sometimes with suicidal thoughts, tired most of the time, get anxious for seemingly no reason, sometimes hard to sleep. grandmaD Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 There isn't much I can add to your question, I am sorry to say and I don't have any answers. I do know in my case, what I call pressure heads are a feeling "fullness" and I feel like a zombie, cannot think, make decisions, hard to talk. I wouldn't describe it as a "bubble" as you do. Mine are definitely w/d related. I cannot comment on your situation, as I am not familiar with the drugs you were on/still on? You say you hardly ever take Wellbutrin - is that an a/d? My understanding is that you cannot just take them whenever you feel like it, you must take it every day. Perhaps if you are only taking something that is a psycho drug every now and then, that might be causing the funny heads. Also, Seroquel, I'm not sure if you can take that now and then without problems. All I know about that one is my son recently o/d on it and I looked it up and suicide is a side effect, so I hope you are aware of that aspect. Like you, I thought i had a brain tumor and had a scan and it was normal. I do get the pins and needles and prickling sensations in head and body. Initially I had what felt like "crawlies" going through my head but not anymore for that one! Brassmonkey also had pressure heads but I think they went away after a few years. Mine have improved, but I still get them. I wish you all the best and hope it helps just knowing others experience similar symptoms. 1995-2007 20mg Aropax/Paxil for pain.
