compsports Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Due to having an upcoming procedure under general anesthesia, I asked to speak to an anesthesiologist ahead of time because of concern about my memory issues. When I did this prior to my septoplasty two years ago, I was reassured that medications would be minimized and I was advised to skip Versed which is commonly given as a medication for preop anxiety. Fortunately, this time, the sedation will be light and not the deep anesthesia that I had for the septoplasty. This guy also advised me to skip the Versed. So if god forbid anyone had to undergo a procedure involving general anesthesia and are concerned about memory issue, you might want to skip this med.
