Ssriwarrior
Has anyone heard of this? I had TD during acute WD, and I know many others do too. Moderator Emeritus JanCarol Posted March 26, 2019 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted March 26, 2019 I have recommended manganese for friends who are long term neuroleptic users - as they have difficulty differentiating their symptoms from the side effects of their neuroleptics ("antipsychotics"). I figure that the neuroleptics deplete manganese, and so think it's a good idea. Unfortunately, my neuroleptic-taking friends are not reliable with their supplements, so I do not have any results to report. CT Seroquel 25 mg some time in 2013. Tapered Reboxetine 4 mg Oct 2013 to Sept 2014 = GONE (3 years on Reboxetine). Tapered Lithium 900 to 475 MG (alternating with the SNRI) Jan 2014 - Nov 2014, tapered Lithium 475 mg Jan 2015 - Feb 2016 = GONE (10 years on Lithium). Many mistakes in dry cutting dosages were made. Moderator Emeritus hayduke Posted April 11, 2019 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 11, 2019 Saw that, and recall reading a paper by (I think) the same bloke. I went and had a blood test to make sure I didn't have high manganese levels before I started taking it. It's not one you want to overdo. Since that's done I'm taking it as a supplement, along with B3 in the form of niacin that gives you a flush. Gotta be worth a shot, TD is not something I'd want in a pink fit, if I can possibly avoid it. I am not a health professional - your actions are your own.
