7238561 Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 (edited) Help, I do not know if I have gallbladder attack or just benzo withdrawal. I have grating feeling on my gallbladder when I feel hungry. I get better after I eat something. I had blood works and showed nothing. I had ultrasound and report said: Findings: A small amount of sludge is in the gallbladder, but no shadowing stones are seen. The CBD measures 3 mm. A few small simple cysts are seen in the left lobe the liver measuring 10 mm and 9 mm in size. The flow in the main portal vein appears normal. No free fluid is seen. The visualized pancreas appears normal. Impression: 1. A small amount of sludge seen in the gallbladder but the gallbladder appears otherwise normal. 2. A few tiny incidental simple cysts in the left lobe the liver. Do you think that it is gallblader attack? Or just benzo? I am now suffering grating pain on my gallbladder area. Thank you. Edited October 15, 2017 by ChessieCat cleared formatting 7 years 5 months ago, I took lorazepam 0.5 mg per day for 40 days for sleeping. After starting taking that medicine, I had negative thoughts and I just dumped the pills. I had cold turkey that night and then lived in hell 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 2 years. I thought I would died. After two years, I had very bad symptoms often coming up to hit me. You name it and I have it. After 5 years, I felt better. But, I could be sick for 2 months if symptoms kicked me badly. I felt my body improved when a window opens. After 6 years, I felt normal most of days but sometimes stress and anxiety hit me. But, I still had bad bad bad condition for two months in a year and then I got better. This is my 7 years 7 months off lorazepam. Most of time I am doing not bad but lately I found that I have pain on liver, gallbladder, stomach, everywhere around my belly. Hopefully, this is just benzo thing and I can feel better after 2 months.
AliG Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Hello 7. Welcome to SA. I'm so sorry you are having pain however it's really not possible for us to establish exactly what the cause is. Are you working in conjunction with your doctor on this matter? What is his advice at this point? It's always wise to have the medical tests done and I'm glad you did that, although we are not doctors so it's difficult to establish whether this is normal or not. However, we can help you with the Benzo withdrawal. Are you tapering and if so, what drugs and for how long have you been on them ? Firstly, we really need more information : can I ask that you fill out your signature with your drug and tapering history. Please follow the directions at the link below: Please put your withdrawal history in your signature When we have this information , we can advise you further. Many SSRI's and SSNRI's over 20 years. Zoloft for 7 years followed by Effexor, Lexapro, Prozac, Cymbalta, Celexa, Pristiq, Valdoxan, Mianserin and more - on and off. No tapering. Cold turkey off Valdoxan - end of May 2014 Psych Drug - free since May 2014 .
