SMADAMS Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 I have been bi-polar since I was 35 yrs old and I am age 65. This disease has been the hardest thing to cope with as everyone well knows. The high’s, the lows the different meds I have been put on, taken off of due to side affects. Relationships are hard but I have no choice but to carry on with life and make the most of what years I have left.
Moderator Emeritus Gridley Posted June 1, 2018 Moderator Emeritus Posted June 1, 2018 Hello, SMADAMS, and welcome to SA. We are a website dedicated to helping people taper off psychiatric drugs. Is that what you're interested in? To give members the best information, we ask them to summarize their medication history in a signature -- drugs, doses, dates, and discontinuations & reinstatements, in the last 12-24 months particularly. Account Settings – Create or Edit a signature. Once we have more information we can better assist you. By the way, "bi-polar" is a label that is thrown around very loosely by psychiatrists, quite often inaccurately, leading to patients being put on more and more drugs and then drugs to deal with the drugs, etc., and down the rabbit hole.
