Alexei Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 (edited) I am 32 and i suffer from Paxil whithdrawal. I was put on 20 mg in 2008 for panick attaks and head pressure coused by ocasional amphetamin use, fast tapered in 2009,reinstated after 1 month of severe whithdrawal and been on it for 1 more year. In 2010 tepered over 5 month, severe WD Started around 1 month out with windows and waves patern. My PT put me on cipralex for 1 month with no effect. Through 2011 i was on phenibut (Russian tranquilizer analog of baclofen i guess) for 2 weeks, for 2 weeks was on clonopin . After stoping clonopin severety of WD skyrocketed and spring of 2011 was propably the worst time, could not sleep for more then 2-3 hours, skin was burning, depression, sever anxiety dayly for 2 - 3 month. Second half of 2011 and beginig of 2012 i took phenazepam (Russian Benzodiazepin) ocasionaly on vary bad days and stoped taking it summer 2012. Some progress happened for me in 2013 waves shortned and intesety is lesend . At the end of 2013 i was put on eglonil (neiroleptic) for 2 weeks, when stoped symptoms flared up especially skin sensetivity. January 2014 took Clopixol ( neuroleptic) 2-3 times to sleep. February 2014 found paxillprogress and surviving antidepressants and not taking anything since. From 2014 to 2018 my sitution change vary slowly . My main syptoms are depression, exostion, severe in waves. All other simptoms usual for that state (blured vission, skin sensetivity, anxiety, bad sleep, inabitity to concentrate, rearly brain zaps ) . Most of my days are avarage with depression, exostion, anxiety and skin sensetivity mostly. Around 0-7 bad days a month and 0-3 days that are close to good . This patern of windows and waves stays mostly unchanged for around 3 years with windows that much clearer but not longer and waves that same length and severety sometimes as bad as begining . Had 3 days in a row in october of high energy an good mood, now in a wave. Read SA since 2014 in waves mostly 😊 ,decided to write my story because i kinda lose hope lately when wave hit. I exersize dayly, mostly yoga and meditation 10-40 minutes . If posible i would like to hear opinion on my situation it is been hard lately. Thank you and sorry for my English. Moderator Emeritus ChessieCat Posted December 1, 2018 Moderator Emeritus Posted December 1, 2018 Hi Alexei and welcome to SA, We ask all members to create a drug signature so we can see your drug history at a glance. Please use the following format. Please make it nice simple by following these instructions (NO diagnoses or symptoms please - thank you): details for last 2 years - dates, ALL drugs, doses summary for older than 2 years - just years and drug/s Account Settings – Create or Edit a signature As you have realised recovery isn't linear and has a windows and waves pattern. Please see the following topics: are-we-there-yet-how-long-is-withdrawal-going-to-take Windows and Waves Pattern of Stabilization Video: Healing From Antidepressants - Patterns of Recovery From what-does-healing-from-withdrawal-syndrome-feel-like Basically- you have a building where the MAJOR steel structures are trying to be rebuilt at different times - ALL while people are coming and going in the building and attempting to work. It would be like if the World Trade Center Towers hadn't completely fallen - but had crumbled inside in different places.. Imagine if you were trying to rebuild the tower - WHILE people were coming and going and trying to work in the building! You'd have to set up a temporary elevator - but when you needed to fix part of that area, you'd have to tear down that elevator and set up a temporary elevator somewhere else. And so on. You'd have to build, work around, then tear down, then build again, then work around, then build... ALL while people are coming and going, ALL while the furniture is being replaced, ALL while the walls are getting repainted... ALL while life is going on INSIDE the building. No doubt it would be chaotic. That is EXACTLY what is happening with windows and waves. The windows are where the body has "got it right" for a day or so - but then the building shifts and the brain works on something else - and it's chaos again while another temporary pathway is set up to reroute function until repairs are made. This is your own Introduction topic where you can ask questions and journal your progress. * NO LONGER ACTIVE on SA * MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: (6 year taper) 0mg Pristiq on 13th November 2021 ADs since ~1992: 25+ years - 1 unknown, Prozac (muscle weakness), Zoloft; citalopram (pooped out) CTed (very sick for 2.5 wks a few months after); Pristiq: 50mg 2012, 100mg beg 2013 (Serotonin Toxicity) Tapering from Oct 2015 - 13 Nov 2021 LAST DOSE 0.0025mg Post 0 updates start here My tapering program My Intro (goes to tapering graph) VIDEO: Antidepressant Withdrawal Syndrome and its Management
