I am new to the forum and here’s an overview of my situation:

Starting the week after last Thanksgiving, and continuing to today, I’m experiencing symptoms that have caused me to drop out of college and has severely limited my basic functionality. It is a struggle to get though each day.

The main things that happened around Thanksgiving were I had just finished tapering off Paxil, I started taking Prozac and had an extreme adverse reaction.  I experienced rapid mood swings, depersonalization, complete loss of sexual function, and headaches/pressure in the back of my head. I can't experience regular emotions, only panic and numbness. I'm completely anhedonic since taking Prozac.

For my current medications -- At the start of January, I was prescribed Lexapro (for depression/anxiety), Klonopin  and Ambien (for sleep). The Lexapro started at 5mg/day and increased to 10, with only limited affect. I took 15mg for one day earlier this week, but it made sleep and anxiety worse, and I want to see if I can come off these prescriptions. I want to come off the Lexapro as I feel my symptoms were caused by starting the Prozac and that another SSRI will not help me.  I am also concerned about the effect long-term of taking the Klonopin and Ambien.

Hello and welcome to SA.

It is very likely that you were and are experiencing withdrawal from Paxil. My heart goes out to you that you've had to temporarily stop your classes. You will stabilize and get better, though, and getting started here on SA is a big step toward that.

To help us get a better idea of your situation,

1. please fill out a drug signature using these instructions:

https://www.survivingantidepressants.org/topic/18343-please-put-your-withdrawal-history-in-your-signature/

Include all meds, going back at least 2 years, and include current meds/changes/doses.

2. Let us know what your current symptoms are. Please keep notes on paper of your daily symptom pattern.

This info will help us proceed.

Again, welcome.

2020: After 18+ years (entire adult life) on Paxil, a dangerous doctor-led "taper" in 2015, and four years tapering off the last 1 mg thanks to SA and the Brassmonkey slide,

I AM COMPLETELY FREE OF PAXIL! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Forever.

2021: Began conservative, proper, CNS-respecting taper of Zoloft, led by the only expert on me -- me. Making own liquid. 5-10% plus holds.

2022: Holding on Zoloft for now. Current dose 47 mg. Hanging in, hanging on. Severe protracted PAWS, windows and waves. While I may not be doing "a lot" by outside standards, things are graaaaadually getting better
