Kenny Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 (edited) Please help. When I try to withdraw from Zoloft after taking it for many years I get down and weepy and nervous. How do I know if these are withdrawal effects only or if this means that I actually need the medication? How would I know the difference? Moderator Emeritus Carmie Posted April 10, 2019 Moderator Emeritus Posted April 10, 2019 (edited) Hi Kenny, Welcome to SA. I’ve moved your post over here to Introductions And Updates. This is your page, you can ask questions and journal your journey. I’m sorry you get weepy and nervous when you try to taper. That’s very common in withdrawals, I’m sure if we collected together all the tears from people going through withdrawals we would fill a lake. How long have you been on Zoloft? What dosage are you on now? What date did you start, and what dates did you taper and by how much? . How quickly did you try to taper by? It is recommended to taper by no more than 10% a month. Have you ever been on any other medications? Are you on any other medications now? Take care, sending hugs🤗 Edited April 10, 2019 by Carmie Typo Seroquel. 2019:➡️ From 7.25mg to 5.80mg. 2020➡️5.60 to 4.80. 2021➡️4.60 to 4.0. 2022➡️3.95 to 3.55. 2023➡️ From 3.50 to 3.25. 2024➡️Jan15=3.20✔️ Feb19=3.15✔️ March26=3.10✔️May1=3.0✔️ June7=3mg✔️ July 15= 2.95✔️ Aug14=2.90✔️ Sep13=2.85✔️ Oct12= 2.80✔️ Nov9=2.75✔️This is NOT medical advice.Consult your doctor.
