Shaful85
Hey. Long story short: I took Baclofen for 3 weeks, stopped it cold turkey And got horrible withdrawal symptoms: double vision, unsteadiness, , Dizziness, Anxiety, panic attacks, pain all over my body, insomia, Hyperthermia, Depersonalization, Tachycardia, sweating, cogition problems, acne, herpes and more. I read online and understood that my body/brain got addicted to it and it acts like benzos, so i need to take the same dosage that i took and then i need to taper it down slowly. So i did, since then i still have the withdrawal symptoms, but less severe then before. I still cant function like this and need your advice. I m taking 18 mg of baclofen at morning, noon and night (54 mg a day). I bought a miligram scale so i can taper slowly. What do you think i need to do in this situation? How do you think i should taper? And how much? Do i need to change to a diffrent medicine with a longer half life? And if so, how? I really need your help, no doctor knows what to do about it. Thanks! Link to comment

This site is run entirely by volunteer Administrators and Moderators, all have been through or going through withdrawal. There are no commercial interests or influences involved . I am sorry you are having such a rough time but you are now in the right place. Why were you prescribed Baclofen? When did you take it? Dates please not relative time ie. three weeks ago. When did you reinstate? We generally do not recommend reinstatement of the full dose but it does depend how long you have been off the drug. This is why we need the info. I asked for. What symptoms are you currently experiencing? Are they the same as when you were originally taking the drug? Are they better or worse at any particular times of day? Moderator Emeritus Shep Posted December 14, 2019 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted December 14, 2019 Shaful, I moved your post off the benzo forum. Please keep posting here in your main intro thread since your questions are about baclofen. 5 hours ago, Shaful85 said: I know baclofen has a short half life of 5.5 hours. I know i need to switch to something who has longer half life but there is no Information how to do it with baclofen. Should i split the dose to 4 times a day? Does baclofen help you sleep at night? If so, you may want to keep more of your dose at night than during the day. If you decide to split it out from 3 to 4 times a day, you'll need to do so gradually, moving your dose one hour per day. This is gentlest on your nervous system. Please add a signature with your drug history. Month and year is fine if you don't remember the exact date.
