Moderator Emeritus Gridley Posted December 16, 2019 Moderator Emeritus Posted December 16, 2019 Welcome to SA, Lanysavy. if you change to a different brand of Risperidone when you're ready to taper, it shouldn't be a problem. I live in Ecuador and have had to switch my Ativan brand three times. To minimize any difficulties the change in brands might cause, we recommend doing a crossover from the old brand to the new brand. It's good to have a supply of your old brand to last through the crossover. 3/4 old brand, 1/4 new brand for one week 1/2 old brand, 1/2 new brand for one week 1/4 old brand, 3/4 new brand for one week all new brand thereafter. We recommend tapering no faster than 10% of your current dose every four weeks. Why taper by 10% of my dosage? Lanysavy Posted July 16, 2021 Author Posted July 16, 2021 Hey i got a question , ive been tapering since the day i posted on this topic until now . During the time i taper off i felt well no much withdraw and i was taper off 5% for each 2 weeks, sometimes i hold on to a month or 3 months depend on how i feel and how withdraw i had , i didnot have weights those time in 20 days so in my past i started to cut by quarter of the pills without a weights in more 20 days . But i still felt fine . So lately i started taper of 2,5% hold in 4 weeks but i felt not well too so i started to do 5% hold for 10 days then i started getting all the withdraw symstom , anxious , nausea , my head feel Like drunk and high , start to scared the noises outside ( i live near to a road where a lot of truck and noises around ) . And i was holding this cut for more 3 months. What should i do next ? I dont want get any withdraw or panic and scares the noises outside anymore .
