tedsu55 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Was wondering if anyone has experienced the following issue. After taking 10mg Lexapro for 6 months, stopping, starting sertraline 2 months later and working up to 100mg, then a fast taper after 6 months, I am having night sweats. It has been 9 months since I quit AD's (last pill August 22, 2019) and the night sweats started about a week ago. I have also had periodic gastrointestinal issues (gas, minor stomach pain, growling etc.) How long does it take to rid oneself of withdrawal effects and has anyone experienced the above issue? Thanks in advance for any feedback. Much appreciated. 2003 - Lexapro 10 mg - 6 months - GAD 2006 - Lexapro 10 mg - 6 months - GAD 2018 - Lexapro 10 mg - 6 months - Depression/GAD 2019 - Zoloft 25 increase to 100 mg - 6 months - Depression/GAD
peacewillcome Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 I was literally just about to make a post and ask if anyone else has been dealing with night sweats. Ive been having very bad night sweats to the point where i wake up and the sheets are wet. I have also been getting very vivid dreams with it. Not nightmares that would scare me and make me sweat, just vivid dreams so i dont know if theyre related. but i can say that you are not alone peace will come starting dose: Paxil 20 mg current: paxil 10 mg
theopold Posted May 21 Posted May 21 This is obviously an older post, but just wanted to add something for any future reference. You can check my signature for the full details, but essentially...after short term use of benzo's and sertraline, I've been off everything for going on two months, and I still have the same GI issues mentioned by the OP. And, I've got to say...it's very hard not to obsess over it at this point - primarily because I keep imagining what it MIGHT be if it isn't, in fact, withdrawal symptoms. And, similar to the main topic title...in the last week or so, I've started to notice mild night sweats. I say "mild" because it's nothing like the night sweats I would get while actually taking sertraline, thank god. No, it's just a situation where I wake up during the night and I notice that my pillows are a little bit moist. Unlike the GI issues, the night sweats are not something I obsess over, it's just something to remark on in terms of the extremely random "stuff" that seems to happen when coming off of these horrible drugs...sigh.
