sicksagittarius: Lexapro/escitalopram withdrawal

After reading the fish oil thread, I found some conflicting views on algae fish oil. Anyone have any updated research they found?

I read how algae fish oil would work as a replacement for regular fish oil with studies to back it up saying how there is NO drawback in supplementing with Algae DHA over Fish Oil DHA and how health risks are lesser with the Algae option. Especially with algae being the original source. What brands of algae fish oils would you recommend?

However, I also read that algae fish oil has no benefit on nerves, brain, and inflammation, which is what we need in WD and not helpful because EPA needs to be twice as high as DHA. EPA is apparently needed to get the available DHA into the brain, so EPA supplementation is way more important than DHA, which leaves us with fish oil as the best source.

I'm looking to switch from regular to algae oil because regular fish oil has high histamine content and salicylates and I think its causing reactions for me as I lower the amounts in my diet. Will a switch from fish oil to algae fish oil cause side effects? I need to drop it with high histamine in my diet causing unfocused vision, anxiety, heart palpations etc.

hi everyone. So after reading the cbd/thc thread, I had some questions. I saw that cbd and thc could counteract my lexapro taper bc if I reduce the dose while increasing blood levels by smoking weed or vaping cbd, it won't help my body adjust to a lower amt of the drug.

Specifically, I saw a new post in the thread about how CBD with lexapro could increase the amount of lexapro in the body, risking one for serotonin syndrome, due to them being metabolized by the same enzymes in the liver. Also read how CBD can increase things in your system like PPI's and antihistamines.

I know I need to use common sense to see if a coping method works for my individual body.  I vape CBD and smoke THC and did so for years before tapering. The cbd and thc make me feel better by decreasing depressed mood, calming anxiety, insomnia, pain etc. The only side effect I have is smoking thc can distort my vision when I had an already bad vision day due to stress or high histamine.

Even though they make me feel better and I don't have adverse reactions to them, could they still be counterproductive for my taper? I've been holding at 2.5 mg for 7 months, due to unfocused vision and mental symptoms, which I think are due to eating histamine intolerance, poor sleep, and stress. Now it makes me wonder if the thc/cbd could also contribute. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated!

You say that you have been using CBD/THC for years.  You also say that when you use them that your vision gets distorted.

There might be a simple answer:  the distorted vision might be caused from CBD/THC.

Hi, I was wondering if your post-pill PCOS ever went away, and if you found a way to treat it?  I believe I have PCOS as well.

2009-2021: Fluoxetine (20-40 mg) on-and-off many times, would reinstate after 4-6 months off.

Aug 2021: Tapered off 20 mg fluoxetine over 6 weeks.

Dec 2021: Reinstated 10 mg fluoxetine for 12 days, then stopped for three weeks.

Jan-Feb 2022: Reinstated 10 mg fluoxetine again for 3.5 weeks, had severe side effects due to kindling, stopped and went into severe withdrawal.

March 2022: Tried a botched reinstatement of fluoxetine - 2.5 mg one day, 1.25 mg the next day, stopped 4 days(?), 0.5 mg for 3 days, then stopped due to burning sensations.

July 2022: Loud movie significantly worsens ear symptoms (tinnitus, hyperacusis, TMJD etc.)

Nov 2022: 1 mg of Lexapro for 3 days, stopped due to strong side effects.
