Administrator Altostrata Posted June 29, 2012 Administrator Share Posted June 29, 2012 Very interesting. They're throwing everything they have at autism these days. Pharma thinks it's the next big drug goldrush. ms, I moved this here because the Journals section is for primary sources from medical journals, researchers, etc. This is a secondary source, an article from Reuters. meistersinger
Especially since autism speaks! Is aligned with big Pharma. Whim my nephew was first diagnosed with autism, his parents took him to the Kennedy-Krieger institute at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore. The first thing they attempted to do was pump him full of drugs. At the time, my reaction was "So, what's the problem?" Now that I'm trying to do withdrawal (I'm now down to 2.25 mg of liquid Viibryd (4.5 ml)), and being in the spectrum myself, I now understand why they left that place faster than they were admitted.
