Edron
Hello, I was on USANA hepasil dtx for liver support for two months and it helped my sleep, then I decided to quit. The first week, I had nightmares and vivid unpleasant dreams. The second week I developed severe insomnia and experienced brain zaps that kept me awake the whole night and I'm still experiencing it now in my 3-4th week. From what I read online, these symptoms resemble those of a psychiatric drug withdrawal. Can anyone kindly tell me what ingredients in these pills may have caused my withdrawal symptoms? Moderator Onmyway Posted June 26, 2022 Moderator Share Posted June 26, 2022 (edited) @Edron It is possible that your supplement had drug additives that were not listed. I am not sure if there's a way to get tested what's in the pills. These sound like psych drug withdrawal symptoms esp the brain zaps. Supplements are not well regulated in the US (or other countries) and can be contaminated with other drugs sometimes benzos from what I have read from tests. Best way is to get these tested but I don't know where and how. OMW Edited June 26, 2022 by Onmyway "Nothing so small as a moment is insurmountable, and moments are all that we have. Edron
Thank you onmyway. I don't know if I should taper off this supplement (but have discontinued for a month) without knowing what caused the withdrawal symptoms, which are very torturing. Can anyone suggest an affordable and reputable place for testing the pills? Thank you Link to comment
Moderator Onmyway Posted June 26, 2022 Moderator Share Posted June 26, 2022 For psych drugs we recommend reinstatement of a small dose (1/10th?) and then tapering at at 10% of the previous dose every month. I don't know what to suggest for this case as we have no experience with this. OMW "Nothing so small as a moment is insurmountable, and moments are all that we have.
