JaCo: mirtazapine - which dose for reinstatement?

Hi - am looking at dissolving mirt in water. Have I got this right, please?

7.5mg of mirtazapine in 15ml of water gives 0.5mg of Mirtazapine in 1ml.

7.5mg \ 15ml = 0.5mg per 1 ml

3.75mg / 10ml = 0.375 per 1 ml

1.875mg / 4ml = 0.468 per 1 ml

Is it ok taking this way if I was taking in pill form before?

taking magnesium does seem to be helping with anxiety but am not sure this is way forward atm.
Compared to when I first went CT I get much better sleep- generally get off to sleep ok , wake up once in night with panic , but get back to sleep. I eat much better. I generally keep busy and exercise- everyday. So I’d say these are plus points.

However, since I went CT, I think my quality of life is not as good as before when on low dose of mirt. Although it isn’t always bad, I don’t think I take much pleasure in things - feels like  am just doing them to fill time/ keep distracted, but not genuinely enjoying them as before. So whilst am generally less anxious, I feel lower than when on low dose and when first went CT. This makes me think I should try reinstating, and hope it works.

I know it’s my decision to make but am still in a bind …

thanks,

j

Yes, these calcuations are correct.

If you were still taking tablets then it would be better to do a cross over, a gradual change from tablet to liquid.

HOWEVER you have not been taking it since June, so at least 3 weeks.

So yes, it is okay to start taking it as a liquid without doing a cross over.
